    Im not understanding how not allowing sail replacements (SCA) or Mapfre being charged points for hull repairs is fair when Vestas is getting basically a new boat and Dongfeng a whole mast and then being permitted to race.

      Boat repairs are allowed under class rules. Modifications to the design, including repairs that improve the performance of the boat, are not. Fair, no. But class rules are formulaic by design, and do not allow for 'grey area' on these things. This is as true for VOR as it is for optis.
      Edit: but yes, I agree. I think that the two point penalty was very harsh. A time penalty would have been more fair in my amateur opinion.

    Wow 2 points penalty for repairs done to a boat that needed the repairs done at sea is in my view not fair.

      it's not fair to me that we keep having to see these school kids talking about the sailing as if they care

    These all come under isaf sailing rules but mapphre did get it a bit harsh

    Pathetic penalty for mapfre
