You know what's amazing? Looking at the lyrics of this song and comparing it to 23, this song shows that she's much more confident in herself and who she is as a person. The lyrics of 23 seemed more uncertain, IU not sure who she was, where she fit it, whether to do her own thing or stick to what everyone loves her for. Especially mentioning her age in this song made me think of that one. She's clearly so much more confident and sure of herself and I love her even more for that, because she shows that's it's okay to be unsure about yourself in your 20's, and you'll figure it out eventually.
And her rap was amazing. She slays everything she does. We love you IU, no matter what you do.

Maybe it was due to that 'scandal' for the lyrics she made in that album and got bad publicity, that IU has finally understood how people see her and how fickle their love for her is. So, now, she's like, ah whatever I'm just gonna be me and do my own thing from now on. And there, my friend, is how she got confidence for herself. Nothing makes you glow than self-acceptance.

At the live performance comeback event on April 21, IU talked about her collaboration with G-Dragon and revealed that she was always a big fan of the idol star.
She also stated, "I asked for a lot of advice when I was writing the lyrics to 'Palette'. Featuring (G-Dragon) wasn't in my mind. I just asked him for a lot of advice while I was working on the track and later on, I thought it would be good to have rap part so I asked him."
IU continued, "He already had a good understanding of the track's tone since I already discussed it with him a lot. His voice goes along well so I asked and fortunately, he happily accepted."

옷이 그렇게 화려하지도 않은데 무대위에 있는 아이유가 너무 몽환적이라 화려하지 않은 옷 조차 화려하게 만드는것 같다.
아이유는 여자 솔로 중에서 가장 범접하기 어려운 가수인듯, 노래부터 짧은 랩 , 춤 그리고 연기까지 본인만의 그런 분위기가 있음 몽글+ 몽환 등 모든게 섞인 그런 분위기.
한해 두해 지날 수록 그런게 더 매력적으로 다가오는 것 같음
