The proposition at my university based their case almost entirely based on the point at 17:30 - that animal tests are sometimes not applicable to humans - but no one on our opposition challenged it. Given the number of therapies and basic facts about human biology learned through animal studies, that I'm surprised it didn't get countered. The opposition here seemed to address it with the practical concerns before it came up! Odd rules used in this debate, doesn't seem to be BP style.

I can't believe there are people that think animals are on the same level as humans. If you want animals to be on the same level as humans I will treat you like an animal. I like hunting btw lol
What do you mean by on the same level? I don't think anyone wants the equal treatment of humans and animals. For example, obviously no one would advocate for voting rights for animals. It's more about recogniction that animals have the right not to be harmed and used by humans.
