This was a very fun challenge that I've wanted to try for a long time. Every players dps is 5-10% lower in a 4 man run compared to a full party of 8 because the shield takes longer to break and the sword placement mech will target us almost every time. Also have to play much safer when 1 death results in a restart.
I dont know how to feel about empress arcana in gate 3, especially for 4-man busses. It's very hard to keep boundless while placing and dodging the swords because I have to run to the corners and back every 30-60 seconds, where I'm almost guaranteed to loose boundless.
Many mechs are also dangerous up close where I am forced to stand still and look at the boss when other classes get free uptime.
Empress also lacks any form of push immunity and the damage skills don't even have paralysis so it's easy to get interupted or knocked down, especially for a class that has to be melee most of the time. Knockdowns are really bad for arcanas because we loose boundless, so every small mistake is heavily punished.
I really enjoy Arcana and wouldn't play the game if it wasn't for her and many of the downsides is actually why I love her. There is always something to improve on, even after thousands of hours and I really hope they keep the skill cap high moving into T4.

I see that all the top korean arcanas dont use SOE, rather they use backflush. Is it because they don't know SOE has higher cap or they know but don't want to use SOE because it makes already a difficult class even more difficult? Also great gameplay/build btw.

My build isn't well known in Korea and they don't fully understand how to play it I think.
My KR friend posted the build on their forums but it wasn't received too well so I don't see them swapping anytime soon

We have max transcendence and the support is one of the best I've played with, so that helps a lot with the damage
