Hey, now that you’ve had it for a few weeks, how do you like the back end of the handle? It seems too squared off to my eye and I think I would like a more rounded end on it. But maybe it’s ok. What do you think?
I've been waiting for this...I'm on a pre-order list, but watching your video has probably changed my mind. First of all...this is NOT a self defence knife...no how, no way! (One of your first comments) Secondly it is too small...it should have been designed with a 3 1/4 to 3 1/2 edge. In your hands it looks lost...maybe your hands are huge (?). Thirdly it is too expensive for such a simple knife. Small blade, inexpensive composit handles, nothing special to justify a MSRP of $250, and a street price of $180 U.S. dollars. I have a Ikuchi...and I guesd that will have to satisfy my craving for something different. (Also much less expensive) If the Smock had a deep carry wire clip...that would have been my choice. My hopes are dashed once again, but better now than later at the front door when the package arrives. But there is a simple beauty about this knife...in a tiny package.
@@keithkevinken that's ok. I have the carribean a taiwan comp lock and it's on washers but almost hydraulic fluid smooth if that make sense. I'm guessing washers since it's so thin.
Love this knife so much. With some cross cut natural micarta scales it’d be absolutely perfect in my eyes. Thanks for the video!

Yes, they do. And it’s one of the things I like best about Spyderco.
They aren’t ugly for the sake of being ugly. They are traditional styles of knives from all over the world.
