No what else works, a trailer.👍🏼 I also carry water, gas, chairs, etc. Using a trailer also takes some weight off the truck. It’s just easier to pull the weight rather than carrying it on the truck. I used to carry my bike on the back.

Have had someone follow you to see how stable it is back there? I use a dirt bike fork brace that goes from the top of the tire to the bottom of the fender to keep stress off the suspension.

I haven’t had anyone follow me, but I have a rear camera on the back of the camper that I watch like a rear view mirror, and I can see tile bike in the monitor. It doesn’t move around very much.
I seen those fork braces and will probably be purchasing them.

    Three questions...
    1. Can you still use the door to squeeze into the camper with the bike and mount still on? ie. lunch at a rest stop or a quicky overnight on the road? (Walmart, rest stop, truck stop?)
    2. Does the front bike seem to affect the throw/reflection from the headlights?
    3. Does the front bike seem to affect the cooling of the truck at all?

@@maryloudave1 1) Yes, with the hitch extension I use, and I lean the bike towards the back just an inch or so which gives just enough room to squeeze by. It’s not enough room to keep the bike on all the time, but enough to get in the camper if needed while traveling.
      2) With the small Honda Grom it does not affect the headlights at all. Now I carried the larger Honda XR at night a couple of times and noticed that it did reduce some of my light at night. So anything bigger than a Honda Grom will affect the throw of the headlights.
      3) I have never had any issues with the truck running any warmer than normal with either of the bikes in the front, even pulling up hill in the mountains. So no affect on the cooling of the radiator with my setup.
      I hope this helps.

Does the motorcycle block the headlights? Doees it block view? Does it dig into ground on dips?

@@michaelnadeau8292 The Honda Grom doesn’t block the view, or the headlights. As far as the rack scrubbing I think in all of the travels it may have scrubbed on an extremely steep driveway one time, but I haven’t noticed it scrubbing as a normal situation.
Now if I haul the bigger bike, the Honda XR on the front rack it still doesn’t block the view, but at night I can tell that the bike is blocking some of the headlights and casting shadows making it a little hard to see.

I have an rv thats a 30 foot long drive. Would you think putting it on the front of what is basically a 1999 450.

@@georgehennen As long as you put an extension on the front you would be fine.
