I used to be huge Lordi fan when I was younger but I kinda grew out of them. Excellent song though

Interesting. I didn't like them quite so much when they were popular, started to like them few years ago and this song i just don't feel. Hug you hardcore when it comes to their newer songs has to be my favorite and still one that sounded like lordi. This in some ways doesn't (for me)

It's brilliant how Lordi uses lyrics. Twisters, meanings, everything excellent.
Glad to see you enjoyed Lordi. Although I would ike to correct that they are like the Finnish version of Kiss. Their love for Kiss and horror movies are what got them started. A cool little detail is that the lead singer makes all of the costumes, and the art featured in the video is also drawn by him.

Pay no heed to those saying this is nowhere near their old stuff. It's just as good. While there definitely were albums that got somewhat away from 'classic Lordi's sound', even they're not worse, just different (harder, not as melodic). This song is pretty old school and awesome in my opinion.
I liked it as well...don't really understand the hate.

oh nice, lordi are the favorite band of a friend I have in finland. I can confirm what the others are saying, the old songs like blood red sandman and "would you love a monsterman" are much better

I listen to Lordi on and of. The greatness of the band is its consistency. Most often the don't have any huge hits but I can't say one song tat suck either so just listening to a random cd is always a treat!

I'm really excited for this new album since I was a fan of them when they were still kinda new! Glad they haven't changed too much based on this song.

I think that this song works fine! I like Mr Lordis vocals here. Their old songs are classic, but I think that they have good flow now. I liked Monstereophonic -album much and this is very promising too.

Lordi was the band everyone in Finland liked when they were like 5-years old, probably because of the costumes. Their music is decent, but it's hard to listen to them because it still feels like a kid's band, even though they write some really explicit songs.
what do you mean? xd and kids band..yea.... if you are a pretty psycho kid then yea...*like me!xd* but that's pretty much what mr Lordi say too.. as a kid that go to a concert to see 5 guys dressed like demon beasts coming at ya with everything from buckets with sewered limbs to mr Lordi cutting someone up with a chainsaw is kiddoish.. you don't really grip the thing you're suppose to see then do you? xd

Lordi are fucking awesome
Lordi, taking into account their looks and demeanour are SURPRISINGLY good technically. I mean, the guitars are as good as Metallica to me, especially on some of their older songs (yes Chainsaw Buffet I'm looking at you)! Also they are a great example that you can have multiple songs following the same composition formula and if you're good at it it will work!
As for this song specifically, they don't discover America, but I still enjoy it a lot even though it's not as heavy as what I'm used to from them.
For the future videos, please do consider Living in a Cage by Rootwater - it's a little known Polish band with a great vocalist and really catchy themes, I'm sure you'll both enjoy it!

Awesome as always!!!... was hoping you'd do this new one!!!... If you want their best classic stuff, anything off of Lordis 1st album Get Heavy, is just CLASSIC!!!... so thats the best place to start if you really want to get into these guys... My best analogy to them is like "disco KISS" meets GWAR, and with better costumes and makeup...lol

that one grew on me over time, at first i was not into it, then the rhythm and awesome lyrics won me over.
That bass was so tasty! It was just so, like, hell yeah feeling lol.
And the message of the song went completely over my head, focusing too much on the bass I guess haha!

You can hear Lordi lots of Alice Cooper Trash album..even that 80" sound 😎
it's no doubt that Lordi drew inspiration from Cooper and many other "Monsters of Rock" from the 80's, makes it refreshing to hear that classic vibe in new tracks.
For christmas you could choose Blood red sandman by lordi. And for halloween Lordi gots Would you love a monsterman. Great songs both of them.

If you ask me, this is the best "First song of an album" Lordi pulled out since 2008. I really, really like it.
And yeah, Lordi have amazing albums, the Arrockalypse and Deadache are great albums, but what came after that was pretty boring. ('cept maybe the 2nd half of the last album)

I have never been a fan of Lordi, but I enjoy some of their songs. But to me their songs usually feel like a worse version of Alice Cooper, and I rather listen to that. You should do that as well some day here on the channel.

Lordi has a reputation of being a bit of a "joke" band in Finland. They have some catchy tunes, but nowadays that I listen to their stuff it's just cringy.. :D They are superbly mediocre in terms of music.
