Keep in mind though, it treats the samples like a wavetable. Its way more limited than even a 90s 19'' sampler rack, though its an interesting different approach.
@@eightcoins4401 Yeah, you're right. My first sampler was the akai s2000. Loved everything about it except the ui. A "real" sampler with one knob per function would be great. The Microfreak is only a fun synth which can play samples. But very affordable.
I must strongly disagree. The "gloves " are gaudy and distracting. Perhaps it's very cold in yer room .. synth is cool, though . Had to quit the vid after 2mins cuz of those mittens.
I like that stellar mfreak, looks good but even better it sounds wonderful. Havent done the last update on mine yet but eventually i will. I still prefer the micro over the minifreak due to the touch keys i only wish there were more keys and more polyphony. Im still not convinced that polyphony cant be increased in an update. If enough of us ask arturia they may include that in a future update, because the freak synthesizers dont really compete with one another but are different form factors with different sound possibilities too. I can dream right.
I love my microfreak - -and this is a particularly good sound, but I always imagine things slightly more complex which the Micro can't do with its one oscillator -- so I think I need the minifreak!
Stellar design looks cool and cute in the same time! Envy you a bit :) I have a used MicroFreak, was bought before this awesome FW update. I wish that they made a re-issue of MicroFreak with slightly bigger "buchla"-keys (more octaves) and maybe 4 independent voices (with filters and etc.). And an fx-block. This will be a bomb!
@@kablehead we need a "petition" or kind of... Who will listen to me? Companies listen to blogers with 10k+ channels IMHO If we could "lean to this side" somebody like Loopop or bigger.
What i forgot to mention: The Microfreak is a sampling keyboard + analog filter. Not that many samplers have analog filters nowadays.

The choir sound is amazing. So much going on in it
Wow, beautiful ! At 0:22 I had the impression of hearing Lisa Gerrard of Dead Can Dance starting to sing ! 😮❤
🙂 I wish she was here to record the sample.
exactly aha 😇🖤
Thx❤ this is a really amazing Asmr video… my adhd brain is happy with your light projection ….
Hahaaa! 🤩 Thank you.
This is fantastic my friend. Thank you. Just got mine!
Thanks man. I wish you a lot of fun with it!
the granular synth update is exceptional
Yes, i agree. I love it.
Sounds great 😎🎶
Love that crackling ambient sound around 19:10
Nice video, I think that synthesizer has great potential for ambient music. Ah yes, but the real gem is the gloves! Very cool! 😛
Thank you! I agree. This synth, a few effects and you can make an endless amount of ambient tracks.

@@zdave6083 🤣 Haha! Yeah, it's actually a love hate relationship between me and those handshoes.
Love it!
Magnifiques sonorités de voix et Chœurs 👍👍👍
Merci 🙏

One of the most beautiful synths i owned.

Oh yeah, i bet the minifreak is a good upgrade. Capable of even more craziness...
@@kablehead I got it and absolutely love it. It just takes you on a journey every time you start tweaking

Sounds beautiful!!! may I ask where you got these awesome gloves from?
Thank you! found them on amazon. :)
I'm a sertified proffesional MicroFreak player!
Nope
@@andywatts8654 do you remember those t-shirts like "sertified sex trainer"? Were they serious? :))
Is this the new Trautonium from Friedrich Trautwein🤣
For example Alfred Hitchcock The Birds sounds by Oskar Sala with the Trautonium
👻 Yes, it's the cheaper version of it.
Hi from Portugal 🇵🇹 lisboa.thank for the video. I also have Stellar. One silly question...which format is used for de sample loaded to Microfreak?
Thank you! I think it's 16 bit wave at 44.1 khz.
i need one
Nooooo! It's quite affordable though. 🙂
Interesting
What samples did you use? The ones that came w/ the Microfreak?
No, i sampled them from a classical music cd years ago.
@@kablehead Aha. Must do that myself because it sounds great! Thanks for the video. 🙂
You say you have reverb... How are you doing that? Does the stellar model include effects, or are you running the synth through a pedal/effects unit?
Yes, i used an alesis hardware unit for the reverb.
@@kablehead cool, thanks for responding
Dude where can I get Choir samples?
I got it from a classical music cd and found a passage where they only sing one note.
Would love to use that one voice vocal sound and string sound, is it possible to purchase the wave files from you?@@kablehead

I want so bad that choir, string and fx samples to load into my Microfreak. Beautiful and dreamy patches.
This barely makes any sense and is a pretty bad demo of it but still appreciated. :)
Why do you appreciate bad and senseless demos? 🙂
