What a creative way to pay tribute to DOOM. Had a grown man tearing up.
Yep. I clicked on the video wondering how they'd deal with DOOM's verse and left in tears.
Gets you. Grown man rap mate. 👊
Exactly...nothing to add at all. They did him right.
Respect
Same. Felt that way the first time I saw it. Still chokes me up. RIP Mr. Dumile.
This is the best depiction of DOOM's absence. You really feel it in this video.
❤
Word. 😥
Can just see his aura dueling on the mic next to his bros
The way they just laid back while doom dropped was like a hip hop moment of
Silence

It was beautiful. Very respectful 🙏

I get emotional everytime I hear this track....Thank you DOOM for the master pieces you painted. I still feel your energy every day.... legends never die!
Real talk! 🥺
Right, and then this music video drops, and they just stand in respect. 😭 who ever took him, bring him back!

Fire track!!! One of the best albums in 2022 easily! R.I.P. *MF DOOM*
Amazing album so far and song best year
Agreed, this song gives me shivers. Like a Lil bish.

Abso fuckin lutely the truth
What's the title of the album?
This doom verse is such a fitting sign off. It's really quite sad he's gone. What a fucking legend.
ALL CAPS WHEN YOU SPELL THE MAN NAME!
The very last game changer in hip hop if u ask me.
Squeeze these… when you spell the man name
@@irevolution2970Annoying fck we were all having a moment.
Fckin doom grammar police.
Respect to Black Thought and Injury Reserve for respecting artists death when releasing music instead of using their name as a cash grab.
High key this is not only arguably the best track on the album, but one of the top tracks released all of this year or even the past few years. Which is why I am glad Danger Mouse & Black Thought did a video for it.
The black-and-white video so simple, yet so well executed. With the way it shows Black Thought in the empty room with white walls and windows overlooking him. As he raps his stellar rhymes from the track. With a shadow of Danger Mouse on the wall. Before he actually joins and stands next to Thought during DOOM’s absolutely stellar guest verses. As they just stand taken in and listening to the verses. That let us know DOOM’s spirit is still alive and well passing on knowledge to us all. Even in the afterlife.
Beautifully put
I think this entire album in general is just the best thing to drop in 2022.
It perfectly captures the spirit of older rap music which is arguably the best style since it doesn’t have all that autotune, just pure talent and sampling.
Not to mention I’ve listened to the album since only a few songs were available and I’ve never gotten tired of it.
This ls the perfect hip hop album
@@jenniemccorkle1247 I mean ya. It’s not autotuned, it’s sampling music from another to fit the tune of a song rather than fully made some artists they hired.
Not to mention it fits the idea of telling actually stories rather than lying about how you grew up in the hood and you’re all that.
This is my second favorite track on the album behind because
This is one of the most powerful music videos i've ever seen

Beautiful tribute to MF DOOM and such an amazing track! This album has no skips!
Watching Danger mouse stand next to Black Thought whilst Doom raps. Gave me the Shivers
All caps when you spell the man's name. DOOM
Every time I hear DOOM's verse on this it feels like it's his spirit telling the story of his life. Such a great verse. Rest in peace DOOM.
i sometimes feel like explainin it to my friends, then i give up on it becuz i realise id' have to talk my mouth fuzzy xD
Just keep it on a need-to-know basis
They knew he was a negro, so no need to show faces
hurts not seeing DOOM in that room nodding along when Danger Mouse appears at 2:01.
At first, i hated that the chilling piano sounds only came from the right side, but as i listened to this song more and more, i started to appreciate how unique and awesome that was, amazing job by danger mouse and black thought
not fun when you generally only listen through your left headphone (like me)
Yuuurrppp... He balances it with the horns on the left.. it's dope af
This whole album is full of them songs that just get better the more you listen
on vinyl its soooooooo amazing
@@screwtapee my headphones are loud enough to hear it still, but if I didn't put them in just now, I'd never have caught it was only from that side. Definitely extremely well balanced imo. Because my head still hears it cohesively.
This beat hasn’t escaped my head since this dropped
Same here my brother been following Danger Mouse since Ghetto Pop Life and the Grey Album and this is one of the best things he has ever made, hands down. Just mind bogglingly good like on a Premier/Madlib/J Dilla level
Seeing somebody as legendary as Black Thought be able to do nothing but stand in awe of DOOM, it's powerful. Rest easy DOOM.
The way they paid tribute to Doom... It's creative and really respectful. 👏
ALL CAPS when you spell the man's name👊🏽
The goats of freestyling and bars, unmatched team up
Yeah, definitely album of the year👀
“Launch codes were stolen and sold by Ed Snowden”, that bar went over 90% of these cats heads
It's so deep in this one-shot MV after Black Thought's verse when Danger Mouse appears to have a moment of silence with him during DOOM's posthumously verse.
RIP to the Supervillain with ALL CAPS.
Hearing DOOM's voice and laid back humour got me emotional ngl, massive props to black thought and dangermouse for cheffing up this treat of an album
Watching Black Thought and Danger Mouse just vibe to the late great DOOM is deep. RIP 🙏🏾

At 2:52 when MF DOOM spits 'Freeze', Black thought makes a hand gesture at the same time.
I find that moment wholesome.
RIP MF DOOM.
I play this song/video at least twice a week. What a fitting tribute to MF DOOM; just stand back and watch in awe, as this man does what he was born to do. Absolutely bless the microphone. Almost has me in tears every time as I reflect on the magnitude of the man we lost.
I play it everyday!❤

Cheat Codes is legit the best project of the year
Being that energy cannot be created nor destroyed The Supervillain is still blessing us with his presence. Dope visuals impeccable skills, thank you✨💫💎 It’s already a great day 🌞💝
Definitely a gem. The way you made DOOM's part in video is clearly showing that his legacy is here - in our rooms, music and feelings
Interdimensional barz 🚀🛸

This is fucking awesome. Amazing how, somehow, Danger Mouse creates an atmosphere to his every production. And what a POWERFUL voice Black Thought. Awesome. Simply awesome.

two magically gifted mc's taking it to the limit of mc'ing. Pure beauty.
I can't wait til I'm 80 years old and listen to this, knowing I'll feel the same way I do today...
It makes sense though, DOOM’s echoed vocals with the visuals like this as if his spirit is spitting the bars… is genius.
Goosebumps when Danger appears and stares at the floor, while Dooms verse goes in.
The way the shot composition paid homage to Guvnor, but also emphasised the empty space where DOOM could be ❤️
Saw the countdown and clicked rapidly! The whole album is executed with breath-taking skill by both Danger Mouse & Black Thought. RIP the Masked villain living on through the track.
My favorite track off of the album.
Being from PA and currently owning a home in South Philly I wish I could’ve seen the roots back in the day on South St. The 3 Gentleman on this track are my literal favorites across decades and genres
Best album of the year
True
Black Thought is untouchable! And DOOM is sorely missed... R.I.P. VILLAIN
I love the mixture of mourning, strength, spirituality, and a moment of silence for the late MF Doom in this video. True artistry.

Hip Hop at it's finest. Incredible.
"Danger make 'em groove off a glitch" - RIP to one of the illest ever
DangerDooM is probably still one of my favorite collaborative works from Danger Mouse and MF DOOM. Watching Mouse's shadow recording and seeing him come into frame as they just stand there, it was a somber moment captured, like the final send off.
Black Thought is one of the very best emcees to do it. He’s in the conversation for Greatest Of All Time. This verse is a masterpiece. He starts with . . . “I’m sick. No lymhnodes is swollen / They told me even when the record skips, keep it rolling.”
This is how Hip Hop should sound. I been playing this song on repeat in my car for a week straight.

This record is super legendary and these visuals are so simply directed that kinda just makes you appreciate how good music doesn’t need so much to come to life visually too. Most music these days need an extra edited video to come to life.
Moment of silence and respect shown on DOOMS verse

I didn’t deserve how hard this beat slapped me but I am grateful for the handprint.
Im so grateful this came to my ears. Its prob. the best song & album Ive heard this year. The whole album is 🔥.
such an elegant music video. and the way black thought and dangermouse are just vibing during DOOM's part speaks volumes. His voice filled up that room for sure. no need for any other visuals or anything else.
DOOM still being a legend beyond the grave. R.I.P Amazing song.
Album of the year 2022. No competition!
Still can’t believe he is gone sometimes. RIP to the legend. Amazing album and best track right here
I have not checked out a lot from MF DOOM, but even without listening to him much and just understanding the impact he has had on this genre, it's easy to get emotional with a song like this. Just the way that sample plays out, the 'Away From You' repeated each time in the song, it's just so fitting. DOOM's gone, away from you and me, but his music lives on forever, and that goes for any artist that we have lost ultimately. The respect given from both Black Thought and Danger Mouse by reacting in silence to DOOM's verse is just, well, it's some powerful shit to see I'm not going to lie. I love it.
I like how they respect DOOM’s verse
a highlight of the album

Hearing about DOOMs death on New Year’s Eve was probably one of the my most fucked up recent memories. What a monumental loss. I can’t go a few days without spinning Madvilliany
Lyrics
Yo, I'm sick, no lymph nodes is swollen
They told me even when the records skip, keep 'em rolling
On the shoulder like a California highway patrolman
Launch codes was stolen and sold by Ed Snowden
I fled to Rome and told 'em address me as a Roman
I'm still in photos, posted with my own omen
A thumping kicker for me to slam like Hulk Hogan
It's something like a plain bumper sticker, no slogan
This something for the shooters and back-and-forth commuters
Who never knew the difference in laws and jurisprudence
I feel as though it's safe to assume that to the students
And I can prove it to the way me and DOOM do this
You checking the top-two of a thousand intelligent chaps
With rap projects in housing developments
Cool the cross-legged on a crate like it's elegant
Try to hate, I'm puffing up your face like a pelican
Highly enveloped in, activating my melanin
Y'all failin' to see what's shakin' besides gelatin
News bulletin, I refuse to take the medicine
Fuck a thick skin, I got me a exoskeleton
The black Colin Farrell in The Lobster
Deliver like an obstetrician, but not a doctor
Bring the Cambridge, the Websters, the Oxfords
The picture too long to watch, see the synopsis
Compensated for playing nice, it's optics
Product of The Last Poets and The Watts Prophets
Ahk, stop it, it's beyond out-of-pocket
Donezo, I hit the gun show and got a rocket
Catastrophic, supreme microphoners
In Mexico, we the legendary dos cojones
Brothers, both components of the close to coldest
Court holders with bars as hard as Angola's
[Verse 2: MF DOOM]
DOOM get rude with the dude off chips
The mood switch, he chewed off strips of a Broodwich
Danger make him groove off a glitch
Made your boo booty twitch and the crew rich, bitch
Always wanted to say that
Ever since the days in hallways tauntin' a stray cat
The one he often frequently slapped around
All the while, waited then graduated, cap and gown
Hated the rap sound
Debated the crap until he felt he had it mapped out
Enough to have the game trapped and bound
Scratchin' the crown with the names of lames who yapped the noun
Or verb, for that matter
Had no data for a herb who chat chatter
Oh, Erik Estrada
Fat rat, the mask made him batty as a mad hatter
Known for his absurd word choices
And will ignore you if you ask him if he heard voices
Look, the energy is crazy
Far as he was concerned, the enemy was lazy
Ahem, your attention please
Freeze, he came to seize the free cheese
Before he flees to Belize
In case you forgot to mention, squeeze these
Just keep it on a need-to-know basis
They knew he was a negro, so no need to show faces
Back in the days of no laces
On a slow pace, they used to say he might could go places
Meh, whatever the case is
The card he played was ace of spades, but no races
A spastic, some call loony
When he spit a tune sarcastic as Paul Mooney
Straight 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
