I loved your comment. I have always thought about what art is and how it differs from photography.
One captures an image of reality, then an artist feels what is not seen by the eye and translates by our soul.

Karen, How do you attach your paper so firmly to the large board? I see no taping not he paper. Thanks.
I use black artist tape and make tape hinges in each corner. So I put a piece of tape on the back sticky side up and then tape over this piece.
My paintings never get through the ugly stage 🤣😂
I have a question about soft pastel, would a set of 80 half sticks sennelier plein air landscape be good to start with?Cheap Joe's is selling them for $116.96.
Hi Sue, I do like Sennelier half sticks and they are a good way to start your collection. They are very soft though so it is helpful to also have a set of harder pastels such as Nupastels.
What paper are you using? (If I missed it, my apologies.)
