  • In this video I show you some of my examples of monstrose / mutant San Pedro cactus (Trichocereus Pachanoi) and Bolivian Torch (T. Bridgesii), also known as TPM and TBM. Also some crested examples.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you are interested in buying pure, well identified San Pedro seeds and seedlings, as well as San Pedro relatives, please email me at: sanpedromastery@protonmail.com
If you have a question, I will only reply to questions about cultivation. Please no questions about the psychedelic properties of these cacti.

I recently bought a caespitosa peyote (Never heard the term before and had to, lol). I knew that peyote and other cacti (Like the grafted red moon cactii) are grown on Dragon fruit bases, so started growing dragon fruit seedlings (Hint, I used 1/2 a large dragon fruit I bought, and planted 3 PK trays of FRESH SEED, in seed raising mix, each had HUNDREDS of successful seedlings, WAY more than I expected, it seems fresh seed is WAY better).
I would like to see caespitosa grown on a graft, and have wondered if a base (Cacti or Dragon Fruit) can be rooted, then cut down to almost ground level when grafting something onto it, so the caespitosa or whatever looks like it is self growing.

I grew out about 2500 seedlings this past year and got 2 or 3 crested types and quite a few that have multiple heads that I think might turn out as caspetoes. I have seen the monstose types throw regular columns and also the melted wax form. I had three different seed lots and one lot produced most of the mutants. Possibly because the seed and pollen parent are brother and sister. so, taking just that seed lot, the percentage is quite high.

Very informative! And fascinating, beautiful pictures. I have a crested pachanoi that I bought about two years ago. Is it possible to graft a tiny pup from the base of it and grow another crested one from that? And how big does the pup need to be for this to occur? Thank you :)

I have about 25 seedlings, half IkarosDNA and the other half open-pollinated Kathleen. One of the Ikaros seeds put off a small pup at about 10mm in size. At first I thought it may be a crested form, but now I'm wondering if it's a caespitose form... I can't wait to see how they grow.
Right, 6 inches... I've heard that before. 🤣
Edit: Ah, I guess it might be both!

I love growing seed for the chance of getting a freak! I did a little research and there are people who use radiation or chemicals to try and get a mutation. Kind of the same things that give us humans birth defects. I think thats how some of the growers in Thailand get so many variegated and crested species to sell. I had no clue that san pedro can grow caespitosa!

Hey jerry, i messages u once for seed, about two year ago , or more , but honestly its so frustrating ita with bitcoin and with a underground platform for you to sell. I'd prefer its available on Ebay or if you could make your online boutique through shopify like everybody does , on your own , so nobody in between, no bitcoin, no shit like that, i'd really love to buy some seed of you

It occurred to me, that it was somewhat like inbreeding Hapsburgs, or something like that.
An urban legend suggests that some were growing tails.
As to the truth of that, I cannot say.
Still, large cacti are rather less likely to wander off and cause problems among their subjects.
Now, some fifty years ago, when I had a small collection of cacti and other succulents myself, including a Gymnocalycium Mihovanichii, the red 'Hibotan' form, grafted onto a columnar stock, I wondered how commonly enthusiasts would attempt grafting - say - a Lophophora onto a Pachanoi, a 'marriage', seemingly made in heaven, or something similar, with a view to dramatically increasing the growth rate of the Lophophora.
The sixties were not long gone after all, mescaline was all but impossible to acquire and I'd already had a fair bit of experience with sacred substances.
I was curious as to the feasibility of such an operation and if you, yourself had attempted such a combination.

Hey. Why does the translation cover the whole screen ???, so it is impossible to see what is being done in the plant. That if so you would not need video but only audio and subtitles. Not all viewers understand this language. That's why we need to see without covering the screen with subtitles that we do not understand. Take it to the crossroads of your heart. Thanks.

It's unbelievable!!! The whole video only sees subtitles that cover the entire screen, which is even though the person is talking and explaining. What comes out of this ??? Do not understand the language he explains, and do not understand what is written !!! So I ask you if there is any benefit when watching a video that you do not see and do not understand anything !!! Give me an answer Dear Sir.

    • @LostCylon
      @LostCylon 3 ปีที่แล้ว

Subtitles are a choice YOU personally make, they are in the "cog" lower right on the screen. There you can have the option of subtitles or not, and their size. I believe they are normally set as "Off", so you may have changed them at some time in the past.
