- Ahirun's original video didn't get noticed enough imo, so here is a super detailed explanation of how to farm Bulky Vendors in 2FM or 2.5. This strat will make it so you always get a Bulky Vendor in the rooms they spawn in, making it really easy to get Serenity items and Orichalcums for Synthing.

Bulky Vendor Locations:
Land of Dragons: Checkpoint (Mission Room)
Olympus: Cave of the Dead: Entrance (Cerberus fight room)
Beast's Castle: The West Hall (Room before Thresholder)
Halloween Town: Candy Cane Lane (With Carousel)
Agrabah: Bazaar (with all the stands)
Video summary: Load any save file when you have access to Bulky Vendors (if original 2FM prob have to hard reset console, for 2.5 just quit to main menu). Then go to any Bulky Vendor location. If you get a Bulky Vendor, transition the room 3 times after. If you don't get one, re-enter the room only 2 instead. Then they will be everywhere else.
Repeat this when you get to the last area. Try to do the re-enter trick where there is only 1 Bulky Vendor (not Olympus/HT) so you can abuse this even better.

Oh I completely forgot about the Bulky Vendors giving Serenity Crystals, I just needed two more for the last synthesis items, and thanks to this video I got them and I have 100% on all Synthesis Notes.

Thanks for posting. Final Mix made the item crafting system less convenient in a lot of ways, but removing Serenity Crystals as a standard drop was one of the worst.

I tested this in Vanilla KH2 as well, and sure enough, it works there, too. This'll work well for a certain challenge I have in mind to do later, on both versions...

If you want a good strategy for getting serenity crystals, corner one of the gumball machines and keep walking back and forth so it cant escape the corner, then it should leap at 3/4 health and thats when you want to catch it for a crystal
I should also add: if you give them space when they are in a corner, they will leap toward you and land close enough that you should immediately be able to catch them
Interesting trick, I'll have to use it when I get 2.5 or when I play 2FM on my emulator...

I was clearing through the game, did the Mushrooms, and I straight up didn't have Bulky Vendor to complete the Heartless section of the Journal. I probably would have been stuck just walking around for a few hours until I happen to run into one. Cheers

Does lucky rings and the lucky2x abilities affect the bulky vendor drops? I always go for the 2nd reaction command and sometimes it drops orichalcums and serenity stones.
Can you re-enter the areas multiple times (over 3) or does it mess the flags up
My only question is why they have 2 Bulky Vendors spawn in Agrabah, but one immediately disappears when you destroy the stands.
I just found a Bulky Vendor in Beasts Castle, just about to fight Xaldin. I managed to get an Oricalcum and Serenity item. Strange, I didn't even know about Bulky Vendors.
I always have some issues trying to catch them during the serenity crystal stage, thoughts?

These jerks always disappear as soon as enter the room, for too long I had no idea I had to find them, cause I convinced myself that you needed to time it perfectly of square + triangle, before they disappear.

As far as I can tell, you have to have beaten the first visit to a world, and unlocked the second. All I can tell you is if the "Battle Level" for, say, Land of Dragons is at Battle Level 35, then they can spawn.

question do you read Japanese? is that why everyone on youtube that posts stuff for 2.5 FM has the Japanese version. or is it cuz of something in the game's code of the Japanese version that allows for a special trick or something?
It's just because the Japanese version came out much earlier and a lot of them are speedrunners who were used to speedrunning the original game in Japanese.
Radish 64 With 2.5 it's the load times. They're borked in English.
Could anyone tell me why, whenever Bulky Vendors spawn in my game, they instantly despawn after the game throws up the "It's a rare Heartless!" message. I want to farm their items, but they won't stay long enough for me to go near them.
You usually need to do something to get them to spawn like destroy the tent hut things in agrahbah

i know this is a 3 month old comment, but the ps3 version of 2.5 had atrocious load times, and the Japanese version of 2.5 was slightly quicker with loading
Also the control scheme is considered better in certain views. You attack with circle instead of cross
Playing 1.5+2.5 fm, trick seems not to work after you have done one rotation. No matter how often i tried to reenter a single bulk Location, they never reset the flags until i reload from the Menu. Pretty frustrating - someone got an advice?
You must be doing it wrong, it works fine for me on PS4. You have to hard reset the console and do what the video says exactly to get it going

@@Bizkit047 i Guess i found the Problem. The original said "after all rooms have been visited, it resets" since i wasnt in agrabah so far maybe thats why the game waits to get the bulks there too in order to reset flags? But u skipped worlds too and they reseted so i gettin a bit confused

Also make sure its on critical mode(the only way to have it at the start of the game, otherwise you have to get the mushroom keyblade but you have to be overleveled to get that anyway.

IN 2FM, If you play it on Critical, you get a ability called EXP Zero. This makes it so you get no EXP at all.
He's using Zero EXP, which stops him from leveling entirely, thus he is Lv 1
