After seeing the trailer and the confirmation of Will's return, I was kinda expecting a story like this: Will did do his job well by taking the deads to the right place yet he found out the curse still gradually turns him into part of the ship just like what happened on Jones. The reason behind this is bc Salazar was supposed to be dead and he still wanders in the Devil's Triangle, which means technically he and his crews are still in the Living World. Henry, after knowing his father's condition, set off to find the trident to break the cruse....during the adventure he met Jack and Barbossa, then they joined force because of the coming enemy Salazar. But they were no match to the undead. Worrying about his own son's safety, Will willingly broke the 10 years rule and saved Henry before Salazar was able to get him. Now they have to find the trident to break the curses on both Will and Salazar....so begins the four ships battle ....at last, Henry broke the trident and Jack, Will, and Barbossa killed Salazar for good....

I think Jack's reaction to the Black Pearl seemingly sinking to the ocean was very out of character. All he says is that "she was a fine ship". Says it very passively. Yet in previous films, he sold his soul to Davy Jones to revive that ship and even tried to charge Barbossa when he thought it was destroyed by Blackbeard.

1:38 after years of no pirates movie and the one before not featuring the magnificent vessel in its prime.. this scene hits you with its musical background as nostalgia overwhelms you of past memories of fierce battles and sailing and the smile of Jack and burst of joy of Barbosa the two pirate lords remember as well the great glorious adventures of a diamond in the rough ship. Aztec gold. Kraken fighting. Or fighting mythical ships in a Maelstrom in the name of all piracy. She rises again to her glory
for me personally, this is the moment when this movie actually felt like pirates of the caribbean again, every moment after the black pearl came back just felt great

Mieke Lei maybe, but the monkey its immortal, and its said in the first movie that dont feel anything when eating something. So it does not make sense to the monkey to eat the parrot.

You can tell that Johnny’s heart isn’t in his performance. This Jack Sparrow just felt off. Like he wasn’t all there, which from what we know now is an understatement.
The fact that Jack just nonchalantly said "She was a fine ship" is proof that the writers ddin't know Jack (pun intended), and that Depp had kinda given up. Most of Jack's mannerisms and dialogues were originally contributed by Depp. So, its kinda telling that he just let that line remain as is, while everyone who has watched the trilogy knows full well that Jack would go to the ends of the earth and back for his beloved Pearl, the ship that represents Freedom materialized, to him.

What bothers me the most about the Pearl in the bottle is that in this movie, the bottle is freakin tiny as hell. While in On Stranger Tides, it’s a pretty sizable rum bottle. How could they have screwed that up so much? For the story’s sake they are the same, but they’re obviously not. They’re two completely different bottles. It bugs the hell out of me. But yay, the Black Pearl is back.
The Pearl looks in remarkably good shape, considering it was "peppered by cannon fire." Shouldn't there be damage, dead crew men or even a boot-clad leg hanging from a rope?
Many of you forget it's been 20 years since Jack saw the pearl in its full form (Barbossa took the ship from him in the conclusion of At Worlds End), and so not only do people change in 20 years, Jack's mindset of the Pearl may have also changed.
I also noticed that after it came back from Davy Jones' Chest, it was intact. As if all the damage the Kraken had done to the ship before it went down with Jack had never happened!

Yeah. It is quite confusing. They have the fastest known ship and got caught. They also have Blackbeard's cursed sabre that allowed it's owner to controll every ship or could be used to make Pearl sail with the full speed on a demand. I was really surprised that during the movie Barbossa almost never used the blade to help himself win many situations. Nevertheless this is the best scene from this movie and I can watch this all day.
Mate they were on the middle of a fucking beach! They'd need to swim out like a good 20 meters for the Pearl to not be beached. Behind the rocks was a nice deep area of water.
I love the visible sadness on both captains of the pearl when she didnt rise right away, and Barbossas approving nod after Jacks comment, a nice scene.
I love the bond of jack sparrow and captain barbosa. They hate each other but in the end they have a respect for each other. I cried when barbosa died and jack sparrow give his respect.
The Pearl trapped in the bottle for 5 winters. Captain Jack surely had done everything to get it back but failed. At some point he might be think that he already lost the Pearl.
Man the Pearl has been through so much. Sunk by the EITC, then risen by Jones in turn for Jacks soul after 13 years. Then cursed by the treasure of Cortes. Then sunk..Again...By the Kraken. Then turned into a fucking toy model by Black Beard. If the ship was alive it would probably slap the shit out of Jack and Barbossa.
Honestly, this was one of the best scenes in the whole franchise. The visuals, the music, everything just came together so perfectly and after a whole movie where we didn't see the Pearl in her proper form, it gave me goosebumps watching this beauty emerge from the sea!

all they need are 3 things, classic clean cinematic tints with a dark atmosphere all around, jacks hair to be full dark and dreadlock again after he gets a new crew, and some bloody amazing writers. jack needs to be mysterious. not an idiot as well
You can tell that Johnny’s heart isn’t in his performance. This Jack Sparrow just felt off. Like he wasn’t all there, which from what we know now is an understatement.

The fact that Jack just nonchalantly said "She was a fine ship" is proof that the writers ddin't know Jack (pun intended), and that Depp had kinda given up. Most of Jack's mannerisms and dialogues were originally contributed by Depp. So, its kinda telling that he just let that line remain as is, while everyone who has watched the trilogy knows full well that Jack would go to the ends of the earth and back for his beloved Pearl, the ship that represents Freedom materialized, to him.

What bothers me the most about the Pearl in the bottle is that in this movie, the bottle is freakin tiny as hell. While in On Stranger Tides, it’s a pretty sizable rum bottle. How could they have screwed that up so much? For the story’s sake they are the same, but they’re obviously not. They’re two completely different bottles. It bugs the hell out of me. But yay, the Black Pearl is back.

Many of you forget it's been 20 years since Jack saw the pearl in its full form (Barbossa took the ship from him in the conclusion of At Worlds End), and so not only do people change in 20 years, Jack's mindset of the Pearl may have also changed.

I also noticed that after it came back from Davy Jones' Chest, it was intact. As if all the damage the Kraken had done to the ship before it went down with Jack had never happened!

They also have Blackbeard's cursed sabre that allowed it's owner to controll every ship or could be used to make Pearl sail with the full speed on a demand.
I was really surprised that during the movie Barbossa almost never used the blade to help himself win many situations.
Nevertheless this is the best scene from this movie and I can watch this all day.

I love the visible sadness on both captains of the pearl when she didnt rise right away, and Barbossas approving nod after Jacks comment, a nice scene.

Honestly, this was one of the best scenes in the whole franchise. The visuals, the music, everything just came together so perfectly and after a whole movie where we didn't see the Pearl in her proper form, it gave me goosebumps watching this beauty emerge from the sea!
