I can't imagine the depths of grief to loose your partner, change your whole way you thought you'd live out your life and having all those holidays ahead still yet to be hard, and still being able to be so enthusiastically excited to see the tree the little girl picked out. She was genuinely invested in that family's life changing by doing an act of kindness, even when life hadn't been fair in taking her person she loved too soon. Omg, it still crying, it hurts my heart so much and yet gives me a hope in some humanity.

Now, as an ex-JW adult, he wanted so badly to have a Christmas tree for the first time and said "Let's get one!" I told him fresh trees are so annoying and wasteful. They're heavy, you have to drag them into your home and they leave stuff all over the floor and then you have to get rid of them so let's just get a fake one. When I saw his face fall, I immediately regretted dismissing his idea. I had a Christmas tree every year, from huge 12 foot trees when our family would all celebrate together in one house, to tiny 2 foot trees when it was just my mom and me in our apartment. So, as a special surprise, I went out and bought my boyfriend a Christmas tree on my own and carried the darn thing on my back up a flight of stairs to our apartment, and he was so happy! We got to decorate it together on our first Christmas and now that he's my best friend, we still look back on that event fondly. Except... Then it left a bunch of needles all over the floor and it was a pain to drag it out and throw it out. After all that he said, "Yeah, you're right. Real trees are annoying. Let's get a fake one next year."

one year ago, there was this family in our neighborhood who couldn't afford gifts...so we grabbed four of five presents of our own and put them on their doorstep the night of Christmas eve.

I was around 5 and my mother couldn't afford a simple small tree and so this lady came up and bought it for us I am a lot older now lol but I will never forget her she was so sweet and made my day and so many others. Mother and I come long way since then. One thing I regret is not getting her name or anything so I can repay her for her kindness.
I remember years ago when I was a little girl we didn't have money for Christmas. I beleive my parents would get me toys from the 99¢ store they would get what they could. We couldn't afford a tree and couldn't get a fake tree because the money we did have we had to use to pay the room we were renting. I have this memory of my dad, he used some Christmas lights we already had and he stapled the lights on our living room wall in the shape of a Christmas tree and that's what we used as a tree that year.🥺

This is so simple. I'd give them $100 and tell the parents to purchase a good Xmas dinner instead. Most people need to learn to budget . We didn't even have trees at times and use Garland's and made a shape of a tree on the wall. The most important thing you can teach your children is teaching them not to spend more than you can afford and to make due with what you have. But it is nice to see people have a heart.

This happened to me...except involving my son and a pumpkin. He loves carving pumpkins. I only had $5 and I could only get a small pumpkin. Someone I didn't know and actually didn't even see gave the pumpkin patch worker $10 for me to get my son a bigger pumpkin. It wasn't much but my son got to carve his first pumpkin because of that person's kindness. A pumpkin isn't a Christmas tree but for a child who loves Halloween...it was amazing. Pass on the kindness if you can.

When I was a kid my parents had the older brothers go out and get a real fir tree. It was bent over at the top it was so tall. Wonderful tree with all home made decorations. We had bottle milk those days which had all different coloured xmas designs in foil. We used to make them into decorations. Paper chains etc. No buying rubbish deco's those days. We had so much fun making them too. I was one of seven.

A standard sized plastic tree where I live costs 10 € - 20€( about $11-$21 maximum)...I don't know in other countries, maybe that's why I was confused...

Heart warming story. Years ago when we were kids and times were hard we had no tree to put up. My Mum collected some shiny paper and got us to help her make a paper tree to put up on the wall. Its still the best tree we ever had and a wonderful memory of our loving mother.

When I was a kid, we had a plastic Christmas tree that we build together whenever it’s Christmas season. Then when I turned 8 until I grew older , we just stopped building the tree.
And now, I’m 19. I know the tree is really special during Christmas times, but what I realized as I grew older, it’s not about the tree anymore. It’s about the love you get from people around you.

I was around 5 and my mother couldn't afford a simple small tree and so this lady came up and bought it for us I am a lot older now lol but I will never forget her she was so sweet and made my day and so many others. Mother and I come long way since then. One thing I regret is not getting her name or anything so I can repay her for her kindness.

I remember years ago when I was a little girl we didn't have money for Christmas. I beleive my parents would get me toys from the 99¢ store they would get what they could. We couldn't afford a tree and couldn't get a fake tree because the money we did have we had to use to pay the room we were renting. I have this memory of my dad, he used some Christmas lights we already had and he stapled the lights on our living room wall in the shape of a Christmas tree and that's what we used as a tree that year.🥺

This is so simple. I'd give them $100 and tell the parents to purchase a good Xmas dinner instead. Most people need to learn to budget . We didn't even have trees at times and use Garland's and made a shape of a tree on the wall. The most important thing you can teach your children is teaching them not to spend more than you can afford and to make due with what you have.

This happened to me...except involving my son and a pumpkin. He loves carving pumpkins. I only had $5 and I could only get a small pumpkin. Someone I didn't know and actually didn't even see gave the pumpkin patch worker $10 for me to get my son a bigger pumpkin. It wasn't much but my son got to carve his first pumpkin because of that person's kindness. A pumpkin isn't a Christmas tree but for a child who loves Halloween...it was amazing.

When I was a kid my parents had the older brothers go out and get a real fir tree. It was bent over at the top it was so tall. Wonderful tree with all home made decorations. We had bottle milk those days which had all different coloured xmas designs in foil. We used to make them into decorations. Paper chains etc. No buying rubbish deco's those days. We had so much fun making them too. I was one of seven.
Watching videos like this will literally bring you out of any negative and bad mood that you're in. Good people are still out there and it warms my heart to see them in action!
