Salute. Mr. Praveen Swamy is a stalwart of integrity, humility, and unbiased truth. Good to know that such journalists, such citizens, continue to brighten the Indian landscape. Despite the still many reasons to not subscribe to The Print, Mr. Swamy is the one outstanding reason to subscribe to The Print. I look forward to his presentations.

India always made the wrong decisions in finding a partner and not depending on themself.
      1. followed blindly on the unilateral boarder line drawn by British Colonial Master.
      2. In 1962 they choose US when going into war with China.
      3. 70's & 80's they depended on Russia when US and west are growing exponentially.
      3. Joining US when they are declining and making enemy with all her neighbours.

There was no border before the British. There was no India as a country before the British. So which border is the "realest"? China started the war in 1962 regardless of who's right or wrong. India didn't choose US at that time. India was a soviet partner in 1962. USA won't slow down anytime in the near future as their economy is attracting new talent and openness unless there is yet another white rebellion arrives.

Nehru Policy? Nehru policy was to assert Indian claim of McMohan line, even if this was waste land. He said it was a shame that blood is to be spilled for waste land. It could have been solved diplomatically. The 1962 war messed it up completely. 1962 was CCP's political need after the mess of cultural revolution

@@wionporky9937 Wow! Whatever you mean in whichever universe
      1. Where would that new line be and how that won't be unilateral? India did try to talk with Chinese but they had other plans.
      2. Who else? We didn't have food, clothing or weapons. 1962 India was not like today's India. FOOD dear FOOD was missing. 1965 war was fought under FAMINE. USSR couldn't be directly hostile with China because of communist relations. USA was relatively friendly with us for the same reason and they were sending food to us as well.
      3. Oh! you forgot 1971, Bangladesh war and US fleet in Bay of Bengal I guess. Animosity was USA generated, not India. Even when all western governments knew about the genocide by Pakistan, they chose to stand by their satanic "ally". That US fleet was neutralized by soviet threat.
West was never interested in equal partnership with India. They wanted us at their feet, rubbing it. When India wouldn't do that, they turned hostile. It also had to do with religious communalism in west, where they saw us as pagan heathens. Islamic Pakistan was closer to their "Godly"
book. Anti religious Soviets were more accepting.
US stance in 1971 took back Indo-US relations by two decades
      4. They may be declining but they are still the top by a big margin. Today they absolutely need us. They never did so in the previous century. Same with Japan. That is why India should build good relations with "good" countries. US and Japan are overall good countries. China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, Pakistan are indeed the axis-of-evil and they will be more paranoid in the coming years. After long India is in a position in which it can choose to be by the best countries, countries with whom there is some moral-goodness. The others are straight satanic regimes.

You need to stop saying chinese side. It is chinese occupied Tibetan side. India has to stop appeasing chinese. If there is a border dispute between India and Tibet, India should declare that India will only talk to independent Tibet not invading chinese PLA communist in Beijing.

    • @jaymalhotra245
      @jaymalhotra245 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Indian foreign and military policy should be laser focused on the goal of creating an Independent Tibet over the coming decades. However, it would be counterproductive to be impatient and rash. India is behind but rising while China is ahead but falling. Occupied Gilgit, Baltistan, Aksai Chin and Tibet will all be liberated in the coming decades. Not being able to defend Tibet in 1959 and not being able to forestall the nuclearization of Pak by China have been the two greatest defeats for India, both a direct consequence of weak Indian national strength as well as leadership. That time is coming to an end.

I think India needs to get the best deal with China, and settle the border. It is not worth fighting for a few hundred square kilometers. Those Tibetan and Turkic lands were never really "Indian" in true sense, anyway. We have Ladakh. We have Arunachal. It's good. We should call it a day, and not fight over some of these places.
