I had the issue of the connector to the rear bulb assembly, not having a thick enough ground wire, so the housing had melted around the ground wire. I ended up soldering a second ground wire between the two, which has worked perfectly so far.
I believe this is a manufacturer defect. It’s just made too cheap. I think if you could use LED bulbs you will not have a problem. With the regular incandescent bulbs it’s just too much heat for the cheap plastic and connectors. But I have not seen this problem before.
But I’m not sure if you could switch to LED in this application. Because some vehicles require a specific type of bulb to function properly. Since the bulbs are monitored by computer, I don’t think you can switch to LED. you just have to clean the contacts and the bulb.

Good to know👍🏽
Hi. Did you investigate why the connectors was melted down? I have the same issue with mini countryman.

@@hoseaembury1999 Ok, thank you...
How to clean the connector.
Either by scraping them with a little screwdriver or knife. But if the fixture is melted beyond repair, it will have to be replaced.
