Just a tip for awesome solders. Use flux also, Tin the wires then apply your 2nd fixture which is good to add flux to and tin as well. Then heat the wires item that is hardest to heat first with the iron and it will heat the other item then quickly add solder! If it takes longer than a second or two or heated solder then the solder is weakened. Soldering properly is the key to being able to literally swing off solder joints. It is very similar to welding

Instead of the capacitor which requires a recharge, you can use a small button battery connected to a switch so you can taser the target and wont have to change the power source as often or need to recharge after one use.
Not enough current fast enough capacitors release a large amount of charge in a small amount of time but batteries are slower over a long amount of time

I was a photo lab manager for years back when people actually developed film and we used to have to crack the disposables open to get film out. Yes it works (never made a ring though) and we could zap each other with components from a disposable camera without much modification. It does hurt and could leave a minor burn... however definitely not going to incapacitate anyone at all! Just piss them off... so more of a prank.
Best part ever was we never ever had to buy AA batteries for whatever we needed them for

@@trevorgervy5376 ive still got a scar on my thumb from about 10 years ago making something similar hahaha just 2 tiny dots but definitely there! Pain of the shock is moderate but the burns hurt more. I also once put 5 capacitors together and a friend agreed i could test it on him, those were deep deep marks and it looked mighty painful haha but hes alive and well!.

You need a battery, 2 cables and 2 bolts, one side of a cable to positive and the orther cable one side to negative then put the bolts on the cables( do not make then touch) then you can charge the ring

Love the videos I stumbled onto the flex tape boat was great. Project Challenge Outdoors light beam surrounding 240’ by 180’ yard that would be weather proof and alarm inside when someone crossed it.

Great idea but I found two problems. First problem is that the capacitor has polarity(white strip=negative) if you connect it backwards it could blow up in your hand. And the second one is the battery directly connected to 5V adapter. After reaching full charge it will start producing a lot of heat. I wouldn't let it charge over night. Also it won't really tase you it will give you one nasty zap but it won't disable you like taser.
of course it isn't as powerful as a taser if it was pulled from a disposable camera. Also considering the fact that it isn't intended as a full out weapon.
Use the largest capacitor found in an old TV screen or computer monitor to achieve the desired effect of "disable you like taser" (source it off the power board located on the back of the display panel)

Ask around film stores or pharmacies if they have any used disposable cameras. Sometimes they give em away for free, if you're lucky
A game of "Catch The Loaded Capacitor" in ring form. Catch The Loaded Capacitor was a dirty game in electronics classes. You'd charge a capacitor, then tell someone "Hey, catch!" and toss it to them. Natural reaction would be to try to catch the thrown object. Zap!
You can put a name on the capacitor and make some parts of the ring look like they're semetrical

when the board is cut properly out it is the size of a small stamp. cut with a pair of dikes or wire cutter leaving the proper tracks and traces intack.

It's a 60 volt but I recommend anything above 30 try to find metals which conduct electricity and it should work fine

It's less of a spy gadget, I think - though it is good. I remember making a Taser out of a disposable camera in middle school over 17 years ago.
I think I don't want to give away a secret here, but I want to see this built. The Kingsman used a power pack within their suits (cleverly hidden in the pockets or elsewhere) to power their rings, and enamel coating with two parts missing (to act as conductors and the body acted as the main conductor, with terminals on the wrist in the form of cufflinks. It could be that remote technology was used later on to help regulate the charge.
After all, if you use the body as your conductor, you might have a problem not only creating a positive and negative charge but also shocking yourself with strong current. I believe the older rings used two very small wires, but there were problems with the older rings.
Anyway, I'm sure it can be done - perhaps with a contact-no-contact switch (the same technology which charges cell phones with a platform and no wires), or perhaps with enamel or electrode gel - can you make the ring much smaller - like the one in the photo from the movie, or at least, smaller than you've got in this video - storing the capacitor and other large components into different parts of a suit (concealable size and shape that would go into a suit) ?
I'd also like to see a Thyristor type of taser. I feel like those are not built very often. Could you build one of those, please?
Among other things, I want to see a Taser which shoots and retracts easily - either with a cartridge or something else of some weightiness, which shoots and retracts - a Taser gun that is a gun, connected by wires or chain or whatever is preferred. The preferred (hoped for) range (if possible) is 44ft. - although that might not be possible - so however far you are able to build it for. The preferred shape is not a gun shape, but a baton shape (cylindrical).

Hello JLaser, I noticed that you did not use a diode on that electrolytic capacitor. Electrolytic capacitor only allow current to flow in one direction or they will explode. Applying diodes to both leads would ensure that it will not explode. Also if you want the ring to be smaller use tantalum electrolytic capacitors. how explode? i'm just a beginner kid so tell even obvious things, i'm read about compasitor and still don't know how. And how diodes could stop it? they will drain energy blocking explode if this could be create or how? and the last thing how this explosion could work this is some more than it? 9:40 i this this is not explosion you think but still maybe.
@@sojusz1006 that is a good question. diodes allow current to only go one way so if you put a diode in series with the capacitor it won't explode if he puts the current the wrong way.
