I disagree. You can easily google how to make mortar and how to do the grouting etc. This video shows what is possible and for me was great! We have been thinking to use paddle stones but stacked which is expensive. Laying the stones this way will save time and money. If you don’t like the video go elsewhere, your comment is rude, this video is not just for you you know!
There isn't much to explain. He is using thin pieces of shale and slate rocks and applying mortar to the backs and sticking them up, using occasional small stones as spacers to maintain support and joint spacing, and then is using a trowel and striking tool to mortar and work the joints. And uses probably a clean sponge after to wipe off and clean the stones.
It would have been nice if you showed 1st steps of prepping wall thx
the first step is insulation and there is an adhesive with a mesh (bead)
@@2apples ok thx 🙏
Where’s the first part? Can you do that over cinder block?
Yes
How do you prepare the wall?
Can you do this on breeze blocks? Who could I hire do a job like this?
Whats the name of that stone
what cement did you use to bond the stone to the wall?
Lepící a stěrková hmota Cemix 115
Good job
Do you apply a mortar in the wall first then apply the flagstone?
Insulation was made first, there is a net with glue (mortar) on it, only then the stone cladding was glued

i think the contrast of the grout should be lighter.
yes, it's a matter of taste :)
This doesn't teach anyone anything. Music playing instead of words explaining material, techniques, tips, etc. Useless.

I can see that. I was more interested in learning what substrates to use, lath, thin set, scratch coats etc@@The_One_Cosmos
Been looking for over a year someone in Fort Lauderdale to do this work. NOBODY wants to do it!
I'm sorry
