One of the scariest and most lifeless bootups ever. Imagine this: it's 3:47 AM, and you cant fall asleep. A huge thunderstorm knocks out power for a second, but is enough for your TV to restart. Suddenly, this pops up on your screen, however no video. Terrifying
Bruh its not as scarier as the old one because its quieter so I never got woke up by this, the old bootup one was louder and it had loud sound effects and creepy music and I screamed at night because my roku 3 crashed.
I dont think they are scary but never seen either until today
I went to my grandma's house and her TV is in her basement so I turned it on but it restarted and I was alone with the lights on but even with the lights on it was scary and the TV was big so that made it scarier

This is actually such a disturbing boot up. Just a pitch dark room around it with a purple spotlight and bouncing logo a just faint loading sound effect.

It happened to me today. It was 4:04 PM, I was playing on my Wii, I was plugging the Wii but then, the screensaver on my Roku turned off and there was no signal, so when I turned it on again, I was met with this screen. This happened to me about 2 years ago. when the tv randomly turned off, then this screen popped up, I was scared, thinking it jumpscared me, but it’s just four letters jumping.

my power went off multiple times at like 4am just in my room and this kept playing each time. it was pitch black.
Roku needs to make it so that the letters dance to some nice calming music instead of like this random sound from hell,

Ngl the old startup was WAY better. Sure, the beginning is hella loud, but I enjoy the chill elevator type music and the letter waiting around more than this kinda weird sci-fi sound or whatever. I have so many memories from my old Roku 2. Mostly bcs it would crash a lot while playing games. (Games should return to Roku that was such a cool feature. It reminded me of the Wii in a way)

I think it's because the boot logo is hardcoded into the BIOS of the Roku - I also have a Roku 3, and it doesn't do that. More modern Rokus have it
