Sssso nice to hear your voice just the same. Looking forward to hearing more, no matter the time between. The happy feeling of seeing your notification makes it all worth it. Thank you and take care.
most of the big litter you see, Tom lad, comes from the very people who work the land. mostly NOT the actual farmers. rent an acre age for a fat yow....i'll leave it at that.
Dear Tom, good to hear your voice, sorry to hear life's been a bit of a struggle hopefully things are on the up for you now. I have missed your walks and hope you do continue to make your lovely films (they are works of art in themselves) but no pressure... occasionally is better than not at all!! You take good care of yourself sending good thoughts your way. Oh by the way isn't the British Summer just wonderful, viewed from the perspective of the very recent storms! Thanks!
I’m so happy to find your video today! Parts of my hometown in Kentucky were decimated by a massive tornado almost a week ago. I was spared but so many lost everything. This is a few minutes to forget about devastation and enjoy the peace and beauty your videos bring. Thank you Tom. 💕from Kentucky
Dear Tom, It will probably amuse you to read that you have become an addiction! To me anyway.I had a stroke last December & have been housebound since.Although no stranger to your videos prior to the stroke I just have to tell you that I derive so much pleasure from them & I've watched them all. They transport me to the beautiful Yorkshire landscape beautifully filmed by you.I love walking the pathways, streams & woodland with you & catching glimpses of bluebells & wild garlic. You're videos have given me so much pleasure, thank you Tom. Angela.
The cello cover of your theme music was very nice. The scenery is gorgeous and the summer mood makes me long for the next one! I must savour every moment of 2022 when back home
So well said:-) I am American and thou it’s beautiful here, it’s gorgeous there. I so enjoy all your knowledge and exploration and feel much like I’m strolling or river walking next to you;-) thank you. I do so hope to make a trip there one fine day ! Be well and blessings
It must be in the air Tom - I've had three of the most difficult months of my life. The Mud larkers of TH-cam help me immensely, so I appreciate you taking the time to make these fabulous videos. I absolutely loved the Cello version of your theme music, the water sounds, stunning scenery, and your soothing voice. Fantastic finds too! xx Teresa 🙏❤🇦🇺
Such a wonderful 'walk' with you today Tom! I love seeing the flora and fauna of your outings, reminds me of my childhood in UK when I used to carry a little I-Spy book of wildflowers on nature walks! I think they cost a shilling...That'll give you an idea of my age! I've lived in West Texas for many years now and miss seeing the beauty of my country. Thank you for reminding me of long lost treasures.
05:05 Only Tom Burleigh could give deep meaning to the sight of a stick. ROFL I so love watching your videos because of that matter-of-fact narration. I'm not such a big fan of constant breathless wonder. It's better when it's interspersed with silent observation. Just my humble opinion, eh. ;)
Glad to see you back Tom! I really enjoyed this! Lovely pipe, there always gems! The bottle is lovely! The anchor is fantastic of course lol. See you next time! 😃⚓️
Thanks Adam, if I find one in good condition, I'll save it for you. I know you have a broken one from Phil, he found an intact one soon after he'd sent it. 🙂
The intact cod bottle is still out there waiting for you Tom. I especially like the bottle you discovered today even though I don't collect bottles. I've never been a collector of any one thing in particular but I used to save odd pieces for art projects like you. It can take a long time to amass enough oddities to actually put something together. I've sold many items and now wish I could see them all again. I should have taken pictures but cell phones weren't around yet. I'm still waiting to see something you've made from all of the wonderful bits you've collected over the years. Don't wait too long like I did and now my hands won't do what I want them to do. I have many tools I can no longer use because of seriously bad arthritis. Best wishes to you Tom for a much better 2022.
I did find an intact codd bottle, a few videos back... well, almost intact; some cracks and a slightly melted top. I don't care, it's complete and, I dug it out of the soil myself, having spotted the top poking through, that's the experience I've been looking for. I too am not a collector, it's the hunt that I enjoy, and then when I've found something I can move on to something else, to the point where I found an almost complete Codd (just a very small chip out of the top), on a recent outing with The Johnsons, and left it for them to find. I do keep a hold of most of the oddities, and anything I think I have a project use for... which is mostly the copper and brass, some of the headless and armless porcelain figures too. I've spent most of the last few days working on a craft video; slow going, but it's coming along... and then I need to finish some of the other ones as well, so I can launch the craft channel with 2 live videos and 1 in hand ready to go. Best wishes to you too, and I hope 2022 is kind to you.
A welcome return, my first play was audio only and well worth it, beautiful and an extra dimension. Obviously I also viewed the normal way too😊 possibly a Grey Wagtail keeping you company briefly. As always a much appreciated window of interest and calm.
Great to see you enjoying a warm summers day Tom, a nice change from the storm that's howling around the house tonight! We didn't get a notification of the Premier, but still enjoyed watching even if we were 90 minutes late. While so much was breath takingly beautiful, snakes & cliffs are not my cup of tea, as you know, so I for one was happy not to look over the edge 😱 Can always rely on your sharp eyes to spot a pipe bowl or bottle stopper, and as we always say, what is a mudlark without a ball! And of course 'Riged Pottery'. Nice button too, so along with the bottles and pottery pieces, as you said a fair few finds for a village stream. Thanks for a great trip. 😎🐼🙂
Thanks Phil, it was a great way to spend a sunny day. I might film there again sometime, and miss out the stream, instead heading to the waterfalls, and scarred landscape. If it's something you think you and Caroline could manage, you'd be welcome to join that outing... some spectacular places in the space of a few miles walk. 🙂
Tom you are back! So sorry to hear you have been having a hard time - hope things are looking up for you now ... We noticed your absence and were worried! Loved the serene little river , how do you not slip? Great finds - the little stopper nest is lovely :) Take good care of yourself, Nicole & Craig xo
Thanks Nicole and Craig, I think I'm back to my usual level of things now, and working steadily on videos again. I'm not sure how I don't slip in the rivers, I've been walking in them since I was a child, and I've never really thought about it... probably just good at reading the currents and the rocks. Hope you two are doing well too, and that you have a lovely Christmas time. Best regards, Tom. 🙂
Thank you, Tom, for the beauty of N Yorkshire much enhanced by the bubbling water, gentle wind and gravel crunching under foot. Picking blue and white out of a stream on a sunny day - what could be better.
Thanks Deborah. I agree, I think I had a more enjoyable day there than most people... I get to see places from perspectives that few others think to look from. 🙂
It's wonderful living close enough to places like this, to visit them over and over again. I'm quite partial to a walk in the Bolton Priory estate too. 🙂
@@tom_burleigh Full on enjoyed the Magical stroll! Loved the button and bumblebee ! It looked like he had orange hair in the sunlight! The wood-carved Hare and Malham (sp) Cove were breathtaking. Really happy to see you back Tom, and what a lovely area you walked today. I've missed your soothing voice and stream walking 🙂 Have a wonderful Christmas.
Tom , your videos are a joy. You seem to capture beauty everywhere, every picture is like a painting. I have encouraged others to watch your videos, best enjoyed sitting before a fire, with a glass of wine to enjoy the peace and tranquility.
A wonderful lark. That ancient waterfall is amazing. The stone o too look as though something pit it’s hands or feet on it with all the various contours. Thank you for sharing 🌞🌞🌞

Good to see you back Tom, stunning scenery, music and your commentary well 😌. You discovered some nice items, those bundles of sticks and paper intrigue me, sacred maybe? Thank you for taking me on beautiful journey 🙂
Thanks Charlotte, I'm glad to be back. A lot of problems with making this video, almost killed my will to make videos. Now, I'm aiming to have another video out within a week. 🙂
No, Tom, you sound the same to me. So good to hear your voice and see your video today. Your voice is very calming and your concern for the environment is inspiring. Loved seeing the top of the cliffs, being able to identify them from the Harry Potter movie immediately. Thanks for that tidbit.
Look forward to your laid back videos and the beautiful scenery in this one..as I am homebound and enjoy seeing places I don't get to wonder around anymore. Look forward to your next ones
Awesome video, nice finds and beautiful scenery and the trickle of the stream and the beauty of nature. Thank you for sharing, take care and stay safe and well. Merry Christmas to you and your family 👏👏👍👍🥰🥰💖💖🎄🎄⛄️⛄️🌟🌟
Oh Tom. That is awesome. A sea of rocks. They look like ancient places Vikings and kings wondered in. Ancient holding secrets. Even the trees remind me of Scenes in Harry Potter series. Bare and branch arms reaching out.
I’m glad things aren’t as rough for you anymore, I hope that trend continues , for you and for all of us, and I’m so tickled that you like Jasper Fforde! One of my favorite authors, too!
Thank you for the rural walks. I enjoy them immensely. Your wilderness reminds me of walks l take in my home in Pennsylvania. I enjoy the bottles you pick up the most but the small colorful bits of pottery, the historical info, and the flowers are nice as well. Looking forward to your next outing! 😊
It's so nice to hear your lovely voice and to tag along on your river walk Tom. The string version of your guitar piece is lovely as well. Hugs from Spokane Washington USA
I had been thinking it looked a lot like the spotted knapweed that grows where I live, so I'm glad to know I wasn't too far off base. The bees do love that as well!
So glad to see a video from you Tom. It makes my heart happy. I love that button; reminds me of the buttons on my mother's wedding coat. The water was so incredibly clear and Yorkshire is so beautiful. Holy moly, that cove is stunning! Heck of a climb and the view was definitely worth it. The limestone is fascinating and when you were talking about 'playing' the rocks I couldn't help thinking about the Terry Pratchett book 'Soul Music' and 'Music with Rocks in it' :D Thank you for sharing such a lovely walk.
Thanks Gill. I did try to edit together a percussive performance playing 4 different rocks... but, alas, too much wind noise. Now I want to read Soul Music again. I'm glad you enjoyed the scenery of this special place, and I was so glad the weather played nice, and put on some special light for the camera 🙂
Thank you for the guided tour of the area around whatever village that was. I sat down with a silent migraine, a moving zigzag of light in my eyes, and sometime during the video it went away. Happy for that I always enjoy your videos anyway. Soothing.
There's never any request to donate, just the avenue for anyone who can and wants to. Everyone's circumstances are different, I can't afford to donate to many other youtubers either. I'm glad you enjoy my videos so much.🙂
Thank You Tom for making a new video for us. I hope your rough times are over and done. I would really truly wish that you would do a Christmas Story Reading for us all. I think a lot of people would very much enjoy that. Right before Christmas would be the perfect timing. God Bless and Protect You . Lovely to have your soothing voice and calming scenery once again.
Thank You Tom For a Lovely visit down memory lane. I used to live in Guisborough(Cleveland) when it was still in the North Riding, and the area you were in used to be a regular day out for the family. Like yourself I first saw these beautiful natural wonders when I was about 6 or 7 years of age and I was in total awe. Again Thank You.
Thanks Brian. I realised a while ago that Mudlarking itself is a flashback to childhood; and it seemed like a good idea to revisit places that were a big part of my childhood too, and see if I could make a video in those places🙂
Tom as many others have stated welcome back, always pleased when a new video shows up as usual beautiful scenery along with a clear stream nothing more peaceful to watch.
Loved this Lark , So beautiful and informative. Your response to other's and concern for everyone's welfare is very pleasant indeed. Hope your health improves and prayers for you ! I watch your friends the Johnsons Phil and Caroline also . Good Larking and Peaceful Holidays to you . 👋
I hope it works for you, anxiety is a tough thing to live with. A lot of people put my videos on to de-stress themselves into a sleep ready state, I think that's their optimal use; perhaps a bit cumbersome for an acute attack though!? 🙂
A lovely walk. I am in a wheelchair, so I enjoy going along with you. Thank you for the calm, peaceful time. I know it lowered my blood pressure. You find the most beautiful scenery. I love that you show the wonderful flowers and the birds!
I might sound different in this episode. New mic, which is theoretically better than the old one, which started adding a hiss to everything.

Thank you for the guided tour of the area around whatever village that was. I sat down with a silent migraine, a moving zigzag of light in my eyes, and sometime during the video it went away. Happy for that I always enjoy your videos anyway. Soothing.
Paisagem maravilhosa ❤️❤️🙏🇧🇷
Tom, I can’t afford to donate to any youtuber at this time, but you are my no. one fav of my 30 or so subscriptions!!!
There's never any request to donate, just the avenue for anyone who can and wants to. Everyone's circumstances are different, I can't afford to donate to many other youtubers either. I'm glad you enjoy my videos so much.🙂
What a wonderful walking trip :) The old fall was amazing. Another beautiful video :)
Tom, Oh how I've missed you. Thanks for this video.
Fresh living water, looks a great place
Thank You Tom For a Lovely visit down memory lane. I used to live in Guisborough(Cleveland) when it was still in the North Riding, and the area you were in used to be a regular day out for the family. Like yourself I first saw these beautiful natural wonders when I was about 6 or 7 years of age and I was in total awe. Again Thank You.
Thanks Brian. I realised a while ago that Mudlarking itself is a flashback to childhood; and it seemed like a good idea to revisit places that were a big part of my childhood too, and see if I could make a video in those places🙂
In Canada we call the purple thistle-looking flower,Bee Balm.
After a busy and rather harassing day this was so calming and restful, I loved the cello music as you walked up the steps to the limestone pavement
Tom as many others have stated welcome back, always pleased when a new video shows up as usual beautiful scenery along with a clear stream nothing more peaceful to watch.
Wonderful to have you back. You have been missed.
A wonderful outing Tom. Thank you.
That stone walk looks like a bit of an ankle twister if you’re not careful
Really remarkable landscape
I very much enjoyed this video. The scenery is magnificent.
It's always a wonderful visit with you ❤
Loved this Lark , So beautiful and informative. Your response to other's and concern for everyone's welfare is very pleasant indeed. Hope your health improves and prayers for you ! I watch your friends the Johnsons Phil and Caroline also . Good Larking and Peaceful Holidays to you . 👋
I have horrible anxiety. I think if I listen to you while having an attack ,I could calm right down. You have such a wonderful soothing voice.
I hope it works for you, anxiety is a tough thing to live with. A lot of people put my videos on to de-stress themselves into a sleep ready state, I think that's their optimal use; perhaps a bit cumbersome for an acute attack though!? 🙂
This was beautiful, a lovely surprise. Thank you!
So enjoyed this video, beautiful scenery and your calm voice is lovely to listen to.
Cool trek! thnx for sharing. Luv your snake🐍. Tiny toys are a fun find
You have been missed, so glad to find your video. Take care.
A lovely walk. I am in a wheelchair, so I enjoy going along with you. Thank you for the calm, peaceful time. I know it lowered my blood pressure. You find the most beautiful scenery. I love that you show the wonderful flowers and the birds!
Thanks Kerry, I'm glad my videos can have that effect for you.🙂. Might not be wise to watch my next one; it's mostly about danger and deaths.
