I think the real headline coming out of this race is that Lewis Hamilton had a mechanical DNF, that’s a rare occurrence indeed, and he was beaten by his new teammate in the championship. As for the Perez/Leclerc battle, I had no idea who to cheer for, I like Ferrari and Leclerc just as much as I like Checo and Red Bull. So I didn’t really mind so long as they didn’t crash into each other. It was great to see Vettel in the points for his last race, and I would like to mention Stroll and Ricciardo as well, who gained 6 and 4 places respectively, after sharing the 7th row on the grid. On a side note, the staggered nature of F1 grids mean they don’t technically have rows.
