- Ever wondered what it'd be like if The Smiler at Alton Towers DIDN'T go upside down?? The worlds most inversion on a rollercoaster at 14, what if it literally had 0. Today i remake the Gerstlauer Infinity Coaster to have no loop de loops, no upside down terrifying moments, and no inversions. This video includes a POV and the build process! Enjoy!

(if you're wondering, that's due to the fact that Planet Coaster massively favors airtime over anything else for stat calculations)
That coaster USED TO have a game where there isn’t any inversions at first but when you keep playing it you unlock all the inversions
If I mean “USED TO” I mean the game is delisted from all app stores and left as abandonware

"Every five centimeters" is actually an interesting point, and id love to talk about why this coaster is so nutty and how it achieves its inversion count. Every track element inverts once, unlike most looping coasters which feature at least a couple other elements

I have some planet coaster ideas for you!
- Make Stealth a new-gen launch coaster (like what is happening to Dragster)
-Make UK rides as it they were made by other manufacturers or a different model (e.g. Smiler if it was a B&M invert)
I remember saying something in your Curse at Alton Manor retheme stream about this, glad to see it come to life!

I've been on it today for the first time I loved it!
Plan co counts beyond vertical drop as inversion. I built a coaster with a beyond vertical drop and 9 inversions and in stats it said 10
The all day challenge is 100% spinball because of the music and the fact 3 other people will be joining you also I predict this would happen a while ago

Honestly, this isn't such a silly idea. I think if they hadn't gone for the record and instead had more variety of elements it would have been a better ride.
Of course, Merlin has to have that marketing gimmick.

There was a version without inversions in the game from 2013, before you purchased any inversions.
It was pretty much the exact same, but it didn't go upside down.

Honestly, Alton Towers seems like the Cedar Point of the United Kingdom. The Smiler is definitely a bucket list coaster for me, but it's hard to get to since I live in the United States. Seems like an absolutely insane ride!
I'd say thorpe park looks and feels more like cedar point from someone who goes to thorpe at least twice a month lol

As much as at the moment I have never rode an upside down coaster in my life and at the moment likely never will, I 100% would maybe ride this version, but if I'm honest I prefer 100% the version it is now. Especially with inversions it looks cool & epic, where's with this, just looks weird, not a fun coaster & challenging. Not a world record, so yeah I prefer it as it is and hope it never changes in layout. Maybe in theme change? But not layout as layout is ideal for those who really love thrills, but good attempt, did really well, but yeah prefer real one 100%. Cheers. 😀👍

That was painful to watch, I kept waiting for an inversion at every turn
Yesterday, I rode it twice, once in normal queue with my dad and my brother and we got front row for the first time ever, and the second time in single rider with my brother, I got front row AGAIN and we got next to each other aswell by pure luck. I love the smiler with a passion but I hate the pinball exit of the cobra roll. There is no avoiding it and it gives me instant headaches so I don't enjoy the last tiny bit of the ride.. sad
Edit: This seems much more headache inducing then just the last half of the cobra roll and corkscrews.
I love the actual design for the smiler but if that was a thing is feel more comfortable with the amount of time I do that ride in one day at the park it can be a maximum of 4 TIMES depending on ride access queue
I went on smiler and oblivion today for the first time and wow they're really fun especially when hou ceep your eyes open😊
