Major issue I have with this review was the amount of time you spend talking about off-roading when this is not designed for that. This is clearly a city scooter for city use on paved roads. But you wasted a bunch of time describing how it's not for off-road.
My guess is that he wanted to set himself apart from the other people who are making reviews on this scooter. Plus a lot of people are going to use this scooter for its unintended purpose so it’s nice to have a perspective on what if.
Awesome Video. I have a "Beast Scooter", the Dualtron THUNDER II. Been looking for a powerful and stable cruiser and the Segway is it. No off-roading for me so this will be a joy I'm sure. Test ride to confirm. Thanks again
Looking for a Scooter like this but to put in the trunk of my car in case of a break down, or to zip around town. Only concern is battery exploding if it gets too hot inside the car 🔥
The folding mechanism is pretty much useless because there's nowhere to secure the stem it when it's folded. It's too big to fit inside a normal trunk.
And too overpriced for the specs I know for sure has the specs of a 2k worth scooter when really shouldn't be worth 4k lol. But it's a gorgeous looking scooter but to heavy to carry feel sorry for those that have to carry it up the steps.
Seen a few reviews of this mention the steering has no stabilizers. I had a GT1 briefly, had to return it because as it turns out, it was just far too bulky and heavy for my commute use. But I did take it for a spin before returning it, loved pretty much everything about it, desperately wished I could've kept it, but the steering was a bit off-putting for me which no reviewer seems to talk about. Are you sure there is no stabilizer on this thing? When sitting still it feels and lightly sounds like I'm fighting against some opposing force. And when I'm in motion, that tiny bit of opposing force delays my ability to make small adjustments on the road, often resulting in hitting potholes I could've easily avoided on other scooters. I suspect if I'd kept it longer, I'd get used to it and learn to live with it, but in my 1-night ride the steering was quite off-putting and made the scooter feel even bigger than it already is. How are none of you guys picking up on this? Granted, I've only had experience with a total of 3 other modern commuter scooters, so it may just come down to me not being as well-ridden as you TH-cam reviewers.
Just got this today. Very happy with the purchase, waiting for good weather to enjoy a great ride. Только сегодня это получил. Очень доволен покупкой, жду хорошей погоды чтобы насладиться прекрасной ездой.
Great looking scooter! With that performance and speed I would prefer a larger front wheel. The risk of a faceplant due to the small front wheel is always present.
not really it seems you havent riden this kind of scooter. let me tell you this will never make you faceplant, given you know how to ride a beast like this!
Lol, I have a P65 and have hit some pretty large bumps, I don't even have suspension and have never had a situation where the front wheel hit something that even came close to stopping the scooter.
GT series provides 11-inch by 3.6-inch tubeless tires. I think these are the biggest scooter wheels that Segway makes so its a good start. anything less than 11 inch's is to small for urban city riding because of the potholes.
Three things I'm looking for. Can you change the speed settings on the fly? Can you change from one motor to two motors on the fly? Does it have turbo on demand? 2019 Dualtron Eagle.
I've got two Segways. G30LP and now the Ninebot S. Segway makes well built, quality scooters. I think they are the top when it comes to PEV. Just like Tesla is top of EV life. Berri No-ICE.
I love Segway products but the new Inmotion coming out eats this things lunch on range, power, top speed and features. I can’t speak to the build quality as I haven’t put my hands on one but the reviews seem to be great. I know Segway is great as I’ve bought two but assuming the the build quality is there the Inmotion smokes this thing in every category with the exception of price unless you preorder the Inmotion in which case it will be $3500 before release which is 24% off of the retail price. I’m really excited to get my hands on one.
How come guys over 6' and 200+lbs never do these reviews. Or maybe these things are only for smaller stature people hum... idk hard to decide if this would be something to invest in.
@@sergiolandz6056 Well that sucks! I'm getting around 70-80 miles on my DT2 on Eco mode. With eco off, I get around 50-60 miles but speeds of 50-62mph. I don't ride at those speeds often. I like to ride but not take unnecessary risks.

I ordered this scooter and had the delivery company call me to set up delivery time... But I declined it because of the reports of the clunky front end (which Segway says is normal apparently) and the surprisingly small battery and voltage setup. Why oh why Segway did you not go with min 60v (preferably 72v setup) instead of a 52v for your flagship model? Make it 72v and max speed of 55-60 and your in business to be leader of the pack!
It's only 2400 dollars now. This is an AWESOME stable scooter. Not like all the thug scooters that have steering wobble and need a steering damper. This is stable and SAFE
A $3,500-$4,000 scooter should be able to do at least 50-60 mph even if you don’t ride that fast. This top scooter needs a better top speed. Should be $2500 to $3000.
There, in addition to the maximum speed, there are problems in the form of narrow stators of 4 cm, which overheat from such power, a small battery capacity ... the problem with the knock of the shock absorber seems to have been eliminated by replacing it with a slightly different one. Also, you can’t put PMT tires, although this is no longer such a big drawback, the ground clearance cannot be changed compared to the same inmotion. A scooter for an amateur, that inmotion rs is a little better in many things and I think now this is the most balanced scooter.
People keep bashing the price, but it's only $2500 and the gt1 is $1500. These scooters are supposed to be commuting tools to replace a car which is very expensive to run and maintain. Other people bash it for not having the best specs, but specs don't matter when your shitty AliExpress BMS dies on the way to work. Back in my day the boosted scooter was king and boy has this thing bested it!
