- 2 weeks ago, the world lost an angel. S. P. Balasubrahmanyam uncle inspired generations with his music; and transformed the world for the better with his kindness. His brilliance as an artist is paralleled only by the warmth of his personality, and I continue to be inspired by his artistry, modesty and generosity. His music has shaped and inspired generations of musicians; and will continue to add to his legacy as one of the greatest artists and human beings this world has ever seen.
Needless to say, my father, Venky V, and I worship his music and wanted to pay a small tribute to this legend. We wanted to celebrate his music - his life - with a few of his most memorable songs in multiple languages. This is for you, SPB uncle.

A mesmerizing father and son tribute to a music legend, that waxes and wanes as the talented duo seamlessly intersperse Tamil and Hindi numbers in the clip with a fluidity and smoothness, that is absolutely flawless.
When the clip ends in a little over 6 mins, it leaves the viewers wanting more such gems from the father son duo. Both are equally good and it is very difficult to adjudge who among the two is a better singer.

This video showed up on my TH-cam list just like that. And, I'm now hooked. What a voice both father and son possess! I've admired Abby's singing. But his father is absolutely mesmerizing.. What a soothing voice he has! Sir...oru request - don't ever agree to sing songs for the current crop of Tamil 'music' composers. It's horrendous beyond belief.
Keep posting more such father-son collabs. What an aural bliss it gives!!
