Yes, Shawn has an eidetic (photgraphic) memory. He's also pretty smart and received an investigative education by his policeman father. Basically he does normal detective work while pretending to have come about his discoveries through psychich means. Him and Gus have amazing chemistry together. Those interactions and the show as a whole are a ton of fun and i'll hope you continue with it. This show is greatly underrated.

LOVE this show. Also, fun thing- try to find the pineapple in (nearly) every episode. The pineapple in the pilot was an ad lib, and they just kept it going.
I knew it was the dad immediately because Shawn asked about how close he was with the dog he said "he loved that dog" in the past tense, meaning he already knew his son was dead.
It's kinda funny how I started watching this show. In high school, 1 of my teacher's who was also my track coach was a big fan of this show and had every season on DVD, so whenever he would be busy handling something for track & field and didn't have a lesson planned, we would just watch an episode of Psych.

You just reminded me that at one point I stopped watching Castle. I had like, all of Season 7 (i think) on my DVR which I had to return after switching providers, so I never got to watch them, and they had another final season I never caught up with. I had looked up ways to watch in the past but I don't think it's ever been on Netflix or Hulu (the cheap version).
Sean is highly observant he is hyper-intelligent he has an IQ of 180 and he has an identical memory those are his abilities you can call it his way out of any situation and he's so good at playing the idiot that being psychic is the only explanation on how he could connect so many impossible things despite the fact that that's not what it is
Watchng cuz I stop at everything Psych. (and Monk) Great show. After u see the 8 seasons, watch the 2 movies (they plan on 5 all together) that continues the story.

wille Top tier comedy, but it lacks any tension the few times it tries. The only time I saw it as anything more than just a fun comedy was S7E1.

The pineapple @ 6:42 is an ongoing game because you have to spot a pineapple almost every episode. I forgot about this show.

It was a bit more than just a gag. It was a weekly contest to text in when the pineapple appeared.
