  • Photographing New Zealand is a new series of landscape photography vlogs. Where I take you on the adventure with me, to showcase this incredible country through timelapse, photo and video.
In this episode I head out to the East Coast of New Zealand to shoot some seascape photography at the Moeraki Boulders with my friend Daniel. Then we start to make our way towards Mount Cook National Park and capture some cloud timelapses along the way!
In the next episode I will be sharing some of the most stunning timelapse conditions I have ever seen in my life, so stay tuned!
For tutorials, one on one processing and group workshops, check out my site!

Special thanks to Daniel Murray for some extra filming!

Michale. I have to say...this is such an awesome video. I'm a beginner and have pretty much learned everything so far by watching youtube...I'm so glad I stumbled onto you. I laughted out loud when you were in the water and the comments about your wet pants. SO TRUE AND MY WIFE HATES IT...but I've found that youre not going to get that certain shot unless you get soaked! Beautiful beautiful work Michael!!!

Love the waterfall rock and I can't believe how much I liked the shot of the small rock. I doubt many photographers would notice that little rock when they're focused on shooting the boulders.

These are absolutely beautiful captures! What a joy to see your videos and time-lapse art. I appreciate the explanations later in the video. I have been serious about photography and a bit more time to practice only one year or so. The coastline boulders is my primary composition. I love your tips about getting closer to the water - however have a deep respect for the sea's power to take me away (I'm a feather weight person). I will continue to watch and learn from your incredible shoots and you experiences. Thank you!

Thanks so much Tal! Really my favorite shot was that post sunrise image of the little fountain. The light was not super dramatic, but just really soft and complemented the composition well. I think we were just lucky to get any light at all that morning. Forecast was for more rain hahaha.
