Kinda curious on the side deck pattern. Could you give an advice on what do you take out when going second and when going first?

curious on thoughts on emet vs gargoyle? also curious on if youre going first and they hand trap your cent engine - arent the tenpai cards dead in hand? also curious on shs engine vs melodious engine

SHS allows you to get into centurion engine. Melodious would be there just for the apollousa combo.
If they hand trap your centurion engine, usually you want to open the Spell cards/superheavy cards to play through it. You can add Ancient Fairy Dragon in the extra (which I think is the correct choice) to make your tenpai cards go into centurion too. But overall, the tenpai is there just for going second.
Imo Emeth > Gargoyle. Gargoyle is important in Bystial Centurion, but emeth is better in other versions. Sure, gargoyle can chain block, etc., but Emeth allows you to do more and the power to get follow if everything goes wrong is good too.

@@NaoiMikami melodious for apo going first or access going second sounds like good enough protection for your cent engine. The tenpai cards here dont seem well optimized but I'll test your suggestion of afd and see.
Regarding bystial Centurion, I thought it was the best version resource wise in a vacuum but found the bystials were dead against tenpai always - and not drawing lubellion feels very bad. Can't prosp for it without turning off your regained draw
