If you want to do it that way..I find it easier to leave it hooked up and pull the airbag out ..this way you can just clip the harness back to the new dashboard and then clip the vent piece to the back of the dashboard and your done..man thanks for watching and commenting much appreciated
We do but I charge alot of money ..it's not that easy..and the dashboard we're swapping in is usually brittle to begin with..I try and stay away from swapping used dashboards in customers trucks
Yes it will fit..95 and 96 have the dash that had the cup holders on the right..97 to 01 obs had the airbag on the right..the one ton trucks had a cubby hole for storage where the airbag would be..but yes any dash from 95 to 01 obs Chevy will fit your truck..unfortunately the only option is a good used one at this time..they don't make those years new..only 88 to 94 dashboards are reproduced ..thanks for watching and commenting much appreciated
You don’t need to undo any of the wiring to get it out, you can remove the dash and wiring as all one assembly
