ESO is very much about the journey, not the destination. I feel that with Wow in the state that it's in Asmon might have become a little too used to ignoring quests, not immersing himself in the world and just trying out new things since everything is old. In ESO he's going to need to do the precise opposite of current [and vanilla] WoW and learn how to play ESO - which as nixxiom has said before, is however the hell you want; You can become an murderous outlaw. A theif, selling to fences in the underground dens of nirn. Explore - soaking up the lore and reading books to get a feel for the world [this is likely his first Elder Scrolls Experience]. Roleplay as a character vampire, werewolf, [Insert race here]. Become a chef exploring the world with the sole purpose of obtaining new recipes. Or even a blacksmith, crafting gear for players at a price in the local cities. There is so much to do that it can honestly be a bit overwhelming, but rushing to endgame like you would for a new wow expansion is pointless considering that mobs scale to level and the experience won't be any different. Wow is 120 levels of preperation for content. ESO IS 50 levels of content.
Im not sure if you even played this game past lvl 30. And usually if u r streaming games i think it would be so boring to just watch a streamer try to explore and max their cooking skill while another could be showing high lvl pvp gameplay or raiding.
@@flobnox1757 sure it would be boring for the viewers. But for infividuals can find small things in life enjoyable by themself without hawing to share it with millions on others on the web.
People often confuse horizontal progression with having no increase in difficulty. The challenge comes from learning new fights. Vertical progression doesnt really = increased difficulty either. At the end of the day the fights are designed around you having ilvl X. The "challenge" in vertical games isnt the content but getting the gear amassed. Horizontal raiding could almost be argued to be more challenging becuase it's not gated behind a new ilvl and it still has to offer adequate challenge to the top progressing guilds. Biggest difference is that you can come back to a horizontal progression game and get right back into it without having to go through the drudgery of regearing and catching up.
Eso is an actual great game. I've become as of late a sole pvp player but the journey to get there was insane. Game has unique transmog and mounts. Albeit ill argue the micros in the game take away from some of the meat and potatoes. Being locked behind money for most of the rare mounts in the game is trash. Other than that eso is an amazing game.
No one addressed it in chat, but to do that level 1-50 hours its can't really be done for your first play through as it requires champion points and armor to be crafted. Its also a grind leaves you with very few skill points and few skill lines upgraded so it's not recommended for new players either. Just so he doesn't feel like hes bad at the game.
To be fair, you still have a shit ton of skillpoints to collect even after you normally hit Level 50. After One Tamriel, completing most sidequests will get you Level 50 even before Coldharbour. And there are two whole alliances, full of skyshards and quests after that.
@@Jaddman3820 Honestly there is so much content that i have to agree, I have a level 30 or so khajit assassin and I've only completed the content on Auridon and Grahtwood, a bit into Greenshade at the moment. Nevermind the REST of the worlds content in the Alik'r Desert, Skyrim, Morrowind etc.
@@rasmachris94 I'm happy to see new players discovering ESO :) Take your time to explore this huge world with well written questlies stories ( not all but still). I’ve met some amazing people in eso. I played for years. Both questing and exploring and power leveling. One of the best feelings is being in some obscure cave or small village with no quest relevance and extremely out of the way and starting a friendship with that 1 other person at 3am😆 like what are the odds we became friends? And my old guild was amazing. All high level end game leaders who could be milking noobs or only accept end game people but no, it was noob friendly and they helped everyone get to endgame content. I remember alcast this game I like it at one point they stop caring about pvp even more and added spell crafting when that got announced left they made it nearly impossible for solo pvp and made bgs and was like now we don’t care about open world pvp eso does not know how to nerf stuff once something gets nerf it won’t ever come back
On top of that, they like to sit there and pretend they don't know it's racist. Honestly, the world would be better if all those people in chat just died.
late reply but yeah asmon viewers have the iq of a newborn toddler and they think WOW is gods gift to the earth and the hardest game in the world so they belittle anything that isnt WOW
I think you caught yourself there at a good time..and I think you realize what the right approach is here..don't look too far ahead and concern yourself with the whole "end game" ..you just began your adventure into tamriel..enjoy the journey..follow your own path wherever it may lead..take this time to enjoy the game and see where it takes you..you will eventually get to wherever it is you go..I love eso..it's not just a game it's a lifestyle..block out all that noise..soak it all in..and play the part..I hope you continue to play and stream eso..I've enjoyed watching
Eso I played for like 3 years. It's fun, but it is by no means what most people think of when they think mmorpg. The endgame is awful, the combat with light attack weaving is among the worst, the characters all feel so similar with many weapon skills being used the same regardless of class, crafting is a joke compared to other mmos, the controls (when speaking about console play only) are archaic compared to the likes of ffxiv, etc. I would 100% recommend it for the storyline/quests, but I would not waste the time I did. Play ffxiv, wow, etc. Their worlds are so much more exciting in the long run.
I’ve played WoW for 3 years, FFXIV for one year and SWTOR for 4 years, and what it seems like to me is that you have a huge case of copium with a side of skill issue. The game, even a year ago when you made this comment, is fine in terms of questing, exploration and crafting. FFXIV overland questing is like watching paint dry. If any of the side quests have a story, they’re easily forgotten. The main story doesn’t get good until maybe the second expansion. PvP is a different story, it had gotten a tad better however.
@@jumpscare_jack7412 I've played FFXIV for a while and you're totally right, the first expansion is a pain in the ass. The story is not interesting at all and it's so poorly written that I had to buy an expansion skip. @Lodewijk It is EPIC in 4K welp!
