- Artificial intelligence is making its way into societies and armed forces alike, transforming what can be achieved with swathes of data.
To unlock the "superpower" potential of alliance membership, defence and industry across the UK and partner nations must pull their data together to paint a full picture for military platforms using AI, a former commander has said.
Retired Rear Admiral Alex Burton, former commander UK Maritime Forces, told Forces News AI algorithms would need to be shared more broadly and data-sharing must occur at a volume and pace unseen up to now.

As long as they don't give it to Hungary or India. being Putin's allies.
what if in the future wars are just fought by machines and whoever wins is just who has the most money or who has the best units
Thank you

"I have no mouth but I must scream" Ahh scenario
AI can fly a plane. But it can't re-spell certain words in a picture...
The law of technology progression is still in play. Anything public and ommercially available has been available to the US military for at least 15 years

Lol turkey baster AI
ITAR and IP nightmare looming.
I would LOVE to see AI flown F16's in Ukraine. Obviously they'd need multiple self destruct features built into each jet to ensure if it does go down then nothing can be salvaged. But if Russian pilots engage AI operated older jets and get outmatched at such a wide margin it'll hamstring Russian military exports for decades at least. To say nothing of what it would do for US exports
If you don't usse it, the he hostile forces will
As a former serviceman, I doubt any of the AI talk in the face of mission deployment will meet any real-time confrontation. All bling and fantasy. Those driving these agendas are way off the mark. Not cheap and not cost-effective.
