This felt like a master class on how to use any looper not just the Tonemaster Pro! Would love to see more of these kinds of tutorials. You guys obviously have a lot of musical talent and stage experience. I’d love to learn more from you on how to play some of your favorite styles, ways to use gear and your favorite songs.
I am a new owner of the Tone Master Pro and love it. You and Baxter always entertain me and now educating me as well! Please mark me a yes for more content on the Tone Master Pro.
It’s awesome how the over dubbing works along with the ability to go turn on overdrives and get back to your loop page seamlessly. Most of the other multi effects units are way too complex and aren’t this straightforward.
Thanks, J! This is super educational…I know pedals and effects are somewhat of a joke for acoustics, but if it’s a gateway, like it is/was for me, into another part of the guitar world, then I think it’s a good thing. As a builder of acoustics, and an average rhythm player, getting into the concept of scales, pentatonics, triads, etc, is very new to me, and the concept of looping can be more than for just live playing/recording. Having the rhythm acting like a metronome sure beats hearing a beep track. Also am a drummer, so there’s crossover that is cool. I find something valuable and educational from almost every CG video and I really appreciate the info because it’s not being presented in a pompous “you should already be able to shred” way, and everyone that is on camera that plays is doing so for all levels of players. Making someone comfortable with playing more and playing in front of people is huge for confidence and having fun. Thanks so much!
I just bought one of these because of the tones and the new firmware update. I had no clue there was a looper much less a good one, that's slicker than snot in a doorknob man.
Great video. You should contact fender as the best looper demo so far for the tmp. It would be great if the looper functionality could be customised, eg swap out the reverse effect for a fade out, or swap out undo and one shot for a layer peel and layer unpeel. Also the ability to save loops to call back in a later performance (song preset) would bring it into line with some of the Headrush/boss stuff.
Thanks I learned a couple things. It's feature rich, but kind of clunky IMO in the way you have to push and hold. I ended up adding another pedal for looping so I don't have to think so much about holding down, or hitting multiple buttons to get in/out / add effects. You've convinced to to look at it again and play around. Maybe there is a way to make it useful. 🤔
Nah, it’s clunky. I don’t think I’ll ever use reverse or 1-shot, but I’d love to have a button to switch to my lead tone. But no, you have to exit the looper to get back to the foot switch mode. And there isn’t even a stop button. So if you want to record a loop but not start it, too bad. You have to hit play/stop twice to end it. Not enough flexibility in this looper, and I otherwise love my TMP.
Great demo, question, do you know if you can delete an entire loop? I understand the undo to remove the latest overdub but what if at the end of your demo you wanted to delete what you’d done, is that possible?
Hi, I have to say that the whole unit is just awesome. Traded my Quad Cortex for it. But there is one very important question considering the looper part: how do you erase looper’s memory? The UNDO button takes off all the layers except the first one. In other words: I wanna finish noodling on one theme and want to start another one. How do you do that other than powering the device off and on?
I had this same brick wall. All you do is stop a loop and press Record again. This overwrites everything. If the word "Record" is highlighted, then it starts afresh, but if "Overdubbing" is highlighted, it holds the first base loop. It is so obvious once you know, but the manual isn't clear on this at all and if you (like me) are used to holding down Undo for 2 seconds, you'll be scratching your head. Hope this helps.
How to use the looper with the mic/line input? I can't get that to work. I have a mic/line series only in the signal path so it wouldn't interfere with an instrument series in parallel. Looper doesn't play back. It says recording but it's not recording mic/line. The tuner doesn't work on mic/line either.
@@stevenlake5725 I reached out to Fender and this was the reply: "To use the looper with the mic/line input, you'll just need to have your preset setup with one of the Instrument+Mic/Line Mix signal path types." It works. I use a mix signal path and leave the instrument series empty and populate the mic/line series. Apparently the looper only has the instrument series as input. As far as the tuner on mic/line, there is a button on the bottom right corner of the tuner display that enables tuner for mic/line.
Hello, on my tone master it only shows FS Mode (I seem to be missing the ‘hold: looper’ feature). Am I missing something? Thank you if someone can help

I have several pieces of gear that I don't know how to use. I need more of these tutorials!

Great demo, much appreciated and more please

Jimi Hendrix preset and EVH preset are really close and every one should give a listen here. Love you all and have a blessed day!!!
Awesome video

Studio looks great. Love the split screens. 😎🤓

Great demo! Keep them coming!
Hi, why my master pro don't show in the screen the hold looper, just show fs mode? Thanks.
This was such a great demo. I use an rc-1 with pedals currently. The modeler would add some redundancy in case something goes down.
J'aime beaucoup les différents sons du Fender Master pro. Quuels sont les réglages pour chaque effets ???
Thanks a lot
Very clear and complete

Very well done!
Very instructive…do you know how to loops both inputs simultaneously (guitar and vocal)…the vocal is not being recorded, is this a bug?

Very nice loop tutorial! Subbed
Troppo bravo a spiegare bravo…. Mi sono iscritto hallo.

Complimenti e simpatico troppo forte.
I’m so looking at one of these
I hope they add a loop fade option and maybe even a second loop. What pedal did you use for bass sound?
Can you please do a tmp demo with princeton sounds? Clapton Layla stuff.

Great question, I was going to ask the same thing!! That would be a great update for fender to do! Any luck?!

@@noponder thanks for letting me know!! Much appreciated will try that out! Has it worked for you?
Thanks for a great video. Do you know if a drum pedal can synch with the TMP’s looper through an FX loop?
Can you save loops? I would want to save several backing tracks to stored loops.
The Boss Katana mkII is what I use. Is this better than a Katana?
Will the looper work for Verse - Chorus - Bridge parts or is it a single part only?
I have the master tone pro and I don't know how to put the looper on, help!
...slowly reaching for my wallet

How do you erase a loop?
I can't seem to figure out how to erase the loop. Not undo, but to start from scratch.
