I came back to do a review and people let me tell you this mannequin is everything. I washed it and followed his instructions. It’s like a real human. Thank you now I just need to come in so you can teach me how do hair. I’m watching your videos and will try my best with that.

Thank you SO MUCH for this! I have been on a JOURNEY for the last 15 years trying to figure out how to do my hair, and I now have a daughter whose hair I’d like to be able to braid. She doesn’t like sitting for a long time, so having a mannequin I can practice on during the week when she’s with her mom will definitely get me a faster learning curve!

Wow, this is great and a step up for the students in cosmetology school that need to know how to do more than just a relaxer. All we had back in the day was the becky with thin hair.. I’m going to purchase one of your mannequins 😍. I am a licensed Loctician. I previously purchased the balding mannequin. A lot of the hair was glued or stuck to the scalp so the parting was horrible. I needed it to teach my assistant how to set up a diamond part loc grid and comb coil. I wish I would have saw yours first 😫😫
My Cosmetology school made me so mad. They gave us 6 Caucasian hair, mannequins and 1 Afro textured mannequin. The first thing they wanted us to do was put a relaxer on the Afro mannequin. I protested, and they changed the policy a little. But they still relax the hair🤦🏾♀️

They are still teach perms for Caucasian hair. And straw curl sets. No one does those styles anymore 🤦🏾♀️

I received this mannequin today, I'm excited to start styling her. As silly as that sounds for a hairdresser that's been in the business 28 years, when I was in beauty School they didn't have mannequins with naturally curly hair. We had no one to teach us any of these styles. As far as haircuts, shampooing/ conditioning, blowouts, flat ironing, roller set, I can do any type of hair. I have always hated telling my clients I can't do the braids or twist styles they want and I'm a firm believer and not practicing on my clients LOL.

this is genius. i am a cosmetology student and i do not have this texture of hair, nor have i worked on a doll with this type if hair, but i find it very useful to learn all types of hair when working because after all were HAIRstylists. that isn't limited to straight hair. my instructor had us do braids on white dolls with straight hair. at that point i had reached my limit. all schools should offer dolls like THIS, that are workable and mimic real hair textures.

I tried your straight handed over braiding technique on my daughter and OMG MY FINGERS WERE SO MUCH HAPPIER!!!!! You saved my poor little knuckles from early arthritis thank you so much 🤍🤍🤍

@@GetGlamFam thank you for getting back to me. My daughter has 3C hair and I just find it difficult to do things other than straight braids
i,e curving parts, designs & also just straight parting.
It will look so straight to me but by the time I’m done with the hairstyle I can see that it is super crooked. Idk how y’all base parting off of people’s head shape. (I remember that from the cornrow vid)
Side note: When I try to use like a gel or a edge control before braiding it’s much more difficult to grip because once you add product the hair becomes more straight than kinky, but when it’s dry it has more of a kink to it.
As far as products, you would probably love the curl peace grip glaze. It works well for silky and straight fabrics, so it would likely do well for you also. Yeah definitely check out the cornrowing vid, it goes a bit into parting.

Just ordered mine! I did an apprenticeship for my license and was never truly educated on hair types after 3B. Which was incredibly weird considering the history of the art of hair. So excited to try out my new knowledge on a mannequin and be an all inclusive stylist.

OMG!! This video brought back memories from when I tried to wash my mannequin head with cheap wig shampoo (I was 12 or 13). Talk about a hot matted mess! 😂😂😂 I just had to get your mannequin. I'm no stylist but was looking for a great natural mannequin like this to have my child practice since she was eager to learn. I saw other mannequins much cheaper but went with this one because supposedly it was human hair and the others were straight haired. The hair on this one feels like plastic - so in other words synthetic material like some braiding hairs. I don't believe the human hair. We've had it for a year, we use it about 2 times a month. It got really clumped and knotted really fast. If we do a twist style on it, it is difficult to remove, it has gotten to the point where it's just garbage now. Yes, we followed the instructions on care. Not only am I disappointed in the mannequin and it's performance but also the fact that there is no place on the website to leave a review which is why I'm commenting here. I'm bummed because I was truly truly excited to try this mannequin. I hope the other people who bought this had better results.

Hey thanks for the video! I watched one of your videos in regards to hair porosity. I have low porosity and I used to use creams which worked decent for my hair but in your video you suggested water based leave ins. I tried the carols daughter black vanilla liquid leave in (with a steamer) and my hair felt like plastic! Would you be able to suggest Any tips or suggestions on how to use a liquid leave in?
That carols daughter leave in is a hit or miss. On my wife and eldest daughter it does great, on myself and my youngest it makes our hair feel like chalk. It may be the specific product, rather than the technique.

Hi! Could you please reply as soon as possible. Will this mannequin be perfect for doing kids hairstyle? Mostly kids rubberband hairstyle? I have a baby with mixed hair and I've been trying to do her, she's only 20 months old so I can't really practice some extra" kids style on her but I would really love to do that on mannequin. Also, after adding all these chemicals, can the mannequin hair be washed and it will still be back to the original look? Please reply i wouldn't mind ordering one. Hi there, yes, I do ship to the UK. The hair acts just like natural curls, so yes, it can be styled in rubber band styles, etc.
You can also blow dry and flat iron the hair, but be mindful of using a safe temperature and heat protectant because these curls can suffer heat damage just like natural curls will.
There are no chemicals in this hair, it is steam processed. That being said, if you relax it or perm it, it will permanently alter the hair, and it will not return to its shape.

Hi! Thank you so much for this video and mannequin review. An issue I have been having with curly hair mannequins is the overall quality of the hair. When using them for press and curls they don’t retain curl after some time and then when running the iron through it there is no glide. I know the issue isn’t my iron since when I do clients I don’t have this issue…. Any word on this mannequin for this issue?
Hi! I have the mannequin head, but I’m wondering if some sort of drip pan that attaches to the stand is a thing that exists in the world. If so, can you tell me what they’re called so I can do a proper search? All my searches come up empty of what I’m looking for and full of car products and such.
I guess if they don’t exist, I can get a large plastic plant saucer, cut an “X” in the center and push it up the pole. I’d like something that looks nice and clamps on, though, so it’ll last longer and maybe be sturdy enough to hold whatever items I’m working with.
