ok so i got here because I m syncing logseq with obsdian. its one thing on desktop toa chieve this, but now its further complicated by this ipad. what should i do to keeo both apps sycned with one another on all devices?
The unforunate answer is that you simply can't do this due to the way that Apple has implemented sandboxing. Perhaps it might change at WWDC 2022, but as of now, there's nothing you can do about it :(
@@aryansawhney I think I just figured it out. I may have wrongly assumed that the objective is to be able to use both applications, yet in sync with one another. But it seems thats not the case. I think I’m now realizing that the goal is to be able to use Logseq inside of Obsidian and not have to open LogSeq at all in order to utilize its capabilities, sort of like as if were a plug-in running inside of Obsidian. If this is in fact the case, I didn’t understand this, being as though Im quite new to this whole phenomenon of knowledge making applications. So when I eventually decided to give up on the mobile part, I went back to the desktop and simply synced the two apps in there and called it a day, but Not before going ahead and anchoring that installment inside an initial ipad created Obsidian vault in icloud. And ironically thats when i realized that I may have been misunderstanding and overthinking the fundamental point of it all, which is gain, to run Logseq inside of Obsidian. And when I saw my desktop obsidian syncing with the mobile version, and in the logseq journal folder, thats when i realized the point of it all, and that i dont need run logseq in the tablet, its already running side obsidian, like a plug in.
@@aryansawhney No in folders. That’s why I was wondering how they were both going to sync together? Or this that not the plan at this time? Sorry for my ignorance
@@yaaqoubeliyyahu5783 You have to first put the notes inside of icloud, in the logseq with icon folder. Then move your databse on desktop to that folder and add that folder as a new database.
i sent the ios mobile app request today, but i am wondering whether i could sync cross-platform devices, such as iphone/ipad/mac and a linux desktop ? i guess the limitation here is the linux desktop because it lacks of native icloud integration.
You can technically link to as many as you like, i've got 3 devices linked. I recommend setting up the iOS shortcut i've linked to in the description It can help with the syncing issues although daily note sync is still a bit funky.
@@aryansawhney Actually, I searched for this folder but it is located in my iphone folder and not on iCloud, what should I do to transfer this folder to iCloud?
Rename all "logseq"- named folders in iCloud! The mobile app NEEDS to create that folder by itself, otherwise it won't work. After the folder appeared, you can freely replace its contents!
Hey Aryan! You made THE reference video for a successful mobile connection! Thanks for putting this up, it helps a lot!
Great to here!
Please upload a video on how it works on Ipad device. There is no video in youtube which shows on it with logseq and ipad.
Exact same method will apply to that as well.
how to use logseq with nas? it's a painful experience
How long do I have to wait to receive the email with the app? I made the registration 4 hours ago. Thank you
First round of test fight invites have been sent. I'd assume it'll be a few days for the next round
Have you lost any notes yet? I have used Logseq before awhile ago and hesitant to use the mobile until it’s fully developed…what are your thoughts?
I did all of these steps but my icloud is not syncing the logseq directory. it is syncing everything else. i dont know why it isnt working.
Can you use logseq for long form writing? Normal paragraphs and formatting I mean. Without the bullet points?
Try using document mode, use the keyboard shortcut 'T D' or access it from the command pallet.

I set it on my iPhone, but it does not sync with my MacBook 🤨 Thoughts?
What do you mean by this? Are your notes in iCloud?

At the moment, the only other option is using github to sync via the working copy app.
Thank you. It really helped.
Can this be synced with Google Drive?
Not on iOS, unfortunately.

hi what's your logseq theme?
It's the lovely Logseq bear theme github.com/rcvd/logseq-bear-theme

Is there a way to sync mobile app over Dropbox?
Unfortunately, the iOS app doesn't support dropbox at the moment.
How do I create a folder with a logseq icon?
It should ideally be created on startup of the app. It is hidden though so try searching for it via the Spotlight search or search in the files app.
