      Thanks for your kind words! I'm happy to hear my videos inspired you to choose Fortaleza over Florida and Rio. The cost of living here is a lot lower for sure. If you're looking into the best neighbourhoods, activities, or have questions about renting or buying property, please email me with your questions at billygringotv@gmail.com. I'll create a personalized consultation for you and your husband. Welcome to the Nordeste! Valeu!

    Keep it coming bro. Enjoying the videos and the info you share. At some point I'll be moving to Rio or Sao Paulo, cuz that's where my heart is, but Fortaleza is definitely looking like a future option at some point. Just the grocery prices alone is enough to wanna leave Toronto, Canada next week haha. Prices are mad dumb here right now... Just gotta figure some work related situations out first and I'll be watching these videos from a different location in Brazil. 😀🌴

      Happy to hear you enjoyed the video! Prices are pretty crazy there, I really can’t even fathom it. Rio and São Paulo are amazing, for sure. You for sure should check out Fortaleza. It’s a really nice city.

    If you're looking to lose weight, I've had a lot of success with intermittent fasting (I do 16/8 and consistently lose 500 grams-1 kg/week)

      I lost 50 pounds in Colombia the last time I was there, do that and also, walking an hour a day and working out for 15 mins with moderate weight. I also, cut out unhealthy food and ate a lot of protein. I have been slipping these last 4 months but i will get back on track. Lifting weights was when it really started melting off. I not even talking about heavy weight, I am talking about 15 to 20 pounds only.

      Exato.

A VIDA AQUI É BEM BARATA E CONFORTÁVEL. MUITO PROVAVELMENTE MAIS BARATA DO QUE EM FORTALEZA, QUE É UMA GRANDE CAPITAL. NÃO TEM PRAIA, MAS TEM A MANTIQUEIRA. ACHO QUE, ALÉM DOS CUSTOS DE ALIMENTAÇÃO MAIS BARATOS, O QUE CONTA MUITO TAMBÉM É O CUSTO DOS SERVIÇOS NO BRASIL, MUITO MENORES DO QUE NOS EUA. ESTOU PESQUISANDO CUSTOS DE SISTEMAS FOTOVOLTAICOS RESIDENCIAIS E, PARA MINHA GRANDE SURPRESA, ELES SÃO BEM MAIS BARATOS NO BRASIL DO QUE NOS EUA. E NÃO SOMENTE CUSTOS ASSOCIADOS A MÃO-DE-OBRA, EQUIPAMENTOS TAMBÉM. NO BRASIL, O QUE É UM DESCALABRO É O CUSTO DE ELETRÔNICOS, DA APPLE PRINCIPALMENTE, DUAS A TRÊS VEZES MAIS CAROS DO QUE NOS ESTADOS UNIDOS. VOCÊ FALA DO BRASIL COM CARINHO ("SEM O BRASIL AO REDOR"), BOM DE SE VER.@@BillyGringo

    I know u said that its been a while since you visited the US.. but you can get basically the same stuff at Aldi for 100 bucks 😆.. its been 3 years since I left the US.. but we used to spend 100-110 for a lot stuff.. Brazil is very expensive specially in the Sao Paulo region..

    • @BillyGringo
      @BillyGringo  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      While groceries may not be the cheapest, they get the job done for two of us. But honestly, where else could you land a furnished 2-bed, 2-bath beachfront apartment for just $1,000 a month, all bills included? Where do you find electricity for merely 50 bucks, or internet and cable bundled for the same price?
      You mentioned you’ve been out of the US for three years now. Well, since you left, inflation has skyrocketed there. I’m currently paying just 650 bucks a month for my place, all expenses covered. In this new era of crazy inflation in the US, where else can you stumble upon housing as affordable as that?

      Largato = Eyeround
      lagarto refers to a specific cut of beef known as the eye of round roast in English.
      Lagarto translates to "lizard" in Portuguese, and the cut gets its name because of its shape, which is somewhat elongated and tapers at one end, resembling a lizard's tail. The lagarto comes from the hind leg of the animal and is a relatively lean and tough cut of meat
      Cupim = Hump
      The Hump (Chuck Crest), or The “Cupim”, as it is called in Brazil, is present at many Brazilian BBQs, making it a very traditional piece of meat in Brazil. It must be cooked 'Low and Slow'. Be patient, get it right and it will simply be a one-off experience. Absolutely flavoursome!
