Please bro, I have this commercial editorial shoot for a jewelry company, I have models set up, locations set across Coney Island Brooklyn, and all I have for lighting is standard kelvin lighting stuff and their modifiers. That tube light is exactly what I am going for with the colors and tone for the environment.

I agree with the same over and over shots. Getting artists to understand that and budget for different locations is why I never shot music videos (rap) bodega, car wash strip club, boring.

I like to choose Themed locales too,(for RNG it means a bit longer searching at times but it's well worth it) If the song has a specific message I'd think of places that fit the theme

Great tips... That last one, editing structure... I always do but then guess what... Sometimes on the review the artist be like.. "yo put this clip in the 1st verse... n put this there yeah yeah..." n there goes the structure. lol but even then I still try to regulate it a way where there still a method to the madness.
This is probably a dumb question but how did you do the smooth zoom in on her at :20? Are you physically moving the camera, zooming with there camera, or doing it in post?
@ycimaging, since you started filming this video at sunset, and it only got darker from then on, did you make camera adjustments to make up for the changing amount of available light, or did you compensate with the hand-held and/or ambient light? Or BOTH?
I still prefer NOT making Run-N-Gun music videos lol, but these tips make the process a little better.

I like tubes because the light source is a bit bigger, we also used an Aputure MC for some shots in this video too.

Really just adjusted camera settings and added light, the majority of the video was shot very shallow so I wanted to keep that aesthetic throughout.
