You could see Canelo crushed his face. Saunders swug down into the punch and when he came up his face looked destroyed.
I don't get why anyone doubts his injury, you could see it.

He also did a video not long after surgery where you can see the keyhole surgery scar on his cheek. Looked just like Brooks to me too and nobody is doubting him.

Billy's team could of released the X-Rays and then its end of any doubt, in the corner he looked dejected and he didnt look like he was jumping up to fight, thats why Tibbs looked at his body language and rightly stopped the fight

Ill tell you what removed any doubt for me, it was when his cheekbone disappeared! Anybody doubting it is just silly at this point

I was a long-term BJS fan. The manner in which he quit after all the talk I can't bear to see him in public life again. His orbital wasn't broke. Mark Tibbs knew it that's why he was so shocked at how quick BJS was to quit.

I agree definitely believe bjs injury was real. For no other reason than canelo heard it go and said so before the last round. He also said he knew he wouldn't come out! Fight was rightly stopped because of this. Had it not , bjs could have lost his sight.

Canelo said he felt it break! On his way to the dressing room. So it wasnt just saunders. I fraction my orbital before and you wouldnt have been able to tell properly. Looked more like someone poked me in eye.
The blinking and eye discomfort was because the muscle that moves the eye can get hindred by dislodged bones.
You folk saw a black eye (ignored the flattened cheek area) and though, cant be broken..... Surely his head would be swelled up and eye hanging out.
Completely uneducated on these types of injuries. Billy was hit clean a number of times and wasnt wobbled. When Canelo landed the uppercut, Billys legs still looked fine, hes tough. He even tried to stay in front of canelo he never ran straight away...... But gradually as vision blurs etc it is a survival thing. Why would Billy Joe see the whole round out and not take a knee, if he was faking an injury.

However, I know for a fact other fighters have broken eye sockets and other bones and not released x-rays.
Unless you take a pic of the Xray, they dont get sent in the post. . When I fractured mine I didnt even think to take a pic. Yes he could go get a pic, but I think alot of the criticism is from fans who dont like him, love Canelo and would probably argue the pics where fake anyway. Im not sure hes bothered.
Im not saying 100% genuine as unless I was there doing the xrays or feeling his face, there is always a possibility its not. But the arguments against him are flawed. People are ignoring the flattened cheek area, bruising which are evident of the injury.
Do me a favour, go google a pic of billy joe previously and look at the normally raised cheek bones on his face (pointing out) preferable a pic he is not smiling in and then google pics of his face after or during the round it happened. There is Clearly no pointy cheek bone on his right side. It is concaved. Yet the left side cheekbone is clear to see.

@@shanekemp3141 just to add, Im not arfuing that he didnt deserves all the criticism for not coming of his stool, because he criticised others for doing similar. So his comments came back to bite him. But I believe the injury looks pretty real because of a clear lack of the pertruding cheekbone which he normally has.

Though I don’t know what happened I agree with you. His Pride would not let him risk being stopped which was probably on the cards. A points defeat he could no doubt swallow but not being stopped. I don’t feel he has the humility to own a defeat in this way. However, I’m just a spectator and have never put my life on the line in ring. Glad both fighters are okay 👍

Saunders is a pitta patter point scorer, nothing wrong with that but when your faced with an animal like canelo it’s either you are getting knocked out or him, it’s that simple.
