I've seen so many people using Wolf in tournaments and started to find him to be boring but Larry Lurr has got to be 1 of the most entertaining wolf players I have ever seen. That double stage spike on the first game was freaking bizarre but exciting to see
@@smgyro1476 yea because he usually ends up fishing for smash attacks or Bairs at kill percent. It's not even hard to play him, and his smash attacks are difficult to punish at times that's why it comes off as boring.
elliott everyone is fishing for kill moves at kill percent. What are u not suppose to try to kill at kill percent? Are u suppose to go for a jab at 120? Other characters may not fish with smash attacks but they do it with other moves that lead to kill confirms (Ike nair, Fox nair, Inkling roller, Chrom/Roy jab and so on). Also moves in general are a lot safer to use in this game in neutral regardless so it's fine to have "safer" smash attacks. Also I am tired of hearing people say that Wolf's smash attacks aren't punishable. They have clear windows to be punished and they are very high committal options for him at close range. They are not as laggy as other character's smash attacks sure but that's just part of the deal when you're a better character. Nintendo should simply help other characters get up to par. Also, it's really at the ledge that he doesn't have to commit that hard to a smash attack but if he misses a down smash, up smash, etc. he pretty much always eats a getup attack so enough with the childish whining already. If you played Wolf you would realize he isn't as unpunishable as people like you claim he is. Also really? "He fishes for kill moves so he's boring". That's such a lame excuse. He's got all the explosiveness he needs to be entertaining. There are few characters in this game that are boring because the engine rewards aggressive play so please just stop whining like a child already. This game is pretty damn balanced for the incredibly large roster that we have. There are a lot of people like you that think that if you just got a character nerfed you would do better, you would start winning, you would magically become a better player. That isn't how it works. Few people at low to mid level lose because of a character. It's really at top level that character choice matters in the outcome of a match so please enough with the hate for top tiers. Enjoy this great game and the skilled competitors in it and if you lose, get better. Edit: Also I rarely see top players spam kill moves. They try to keep them fresh until a favorable positions appears where it is safer to try to attempt to go for a kill. If anything Wolf normally ends up killing at 160+ with something like an ftilt at the ledge or back throw. Rarely will you see a super early kill with him.
@@smgyro1476 I think characters should get punished harder for e Whiffing smash attacks in the game. I play fox and wolf. Fox is a high risk high reward character, while wolf manages to be low risk and high reward, maybe fox is better but he's much more fragile. I guess my main issue with him is how simple he manages to be as a character. Anybody wolf player can down smash at the ledge, scoop with an up smash, and get a couple back airs. It seems like a lot of top characters are good for how much easier they/the player are able to punish your opponents flaws and while player skill does elevate those heights, the characters who are more honest aren't able to compete at the same level. Top players are consistently winning for a reason, but the characters and their gimmicks are a reason as well imo. Basically I agree that characters need to be buffed, but I don't want everyone to just have less lag on everything either.
Gyro 10499 It’s not exactly a surprise that people will begin to find certain, over represented, simple, top tier characters boring to watch at some stage. This is nothing new...
Same here!! Although I played with my friend who lived near our summer house, he had a Wii and this game, I always played Samus and was so surprised to find out she is female, I just thought the robot looked cool lol
Noooooooo Larry!!!! He joined the dark side!!! You were the chosen Falco!! You were meant to destroy the wolves not join them!!!!!!
😭😭😭
No one cared who he was until he put on the eyepatch
3:31 is innately satisfying, so symmetrical

You find an aggressive, combo heavy, movement heavy based character to be boring aight then

Marss evolved the ZSS meta from U-air to U-Smash! 😂
Y'all see that crawl from Mars's game 1 my God this dude's amazing
1:54?? so damn good.
Marss' play is frame-perfect optimal at times. If he could play like that all the time he'd 2-stock everyone, always.
That was such an intense match! Geez. I felt my heart pounding for both players. Way to go Mars!
What's going on with Larry anyway?? I feel like I haven’t seen him in a tournament in a really long time.
Flashbacks from playing my brother in brawl. I played wolf and he would play samus with smash balls on to become zero suit.
Same here!! Although I played with my friend who lived near our summer house, he had a Wii and this game, I always played Samus and was so surprised to find out she is female, I just thought the robot looked cool lol
Iirc if you hold Z while selecting Samus you start as zss
23:05 ur welcome 😉
esam at the end 😂💛
Why is Marss so hot? That nonchalant shoulder exposure at the start... I see what you're doing ;)
you gay?
[GP] GenesiX 😂
that last kill was nutty...
nonetheless LETS GO MARSSSSS
Like every game was last last hit oml
what a fucking set wow
Why does Larry never use the blaster? I'm no pro- I'm just wondering why.
wolf hit boxes and damage are good against zss so it’s better to just combo her 2 times and she’s already at kill percent
Damn now that is a match
love marss
14:29 so sad for larry...
Réo yeah he grabbed right through his body like 3 times
yup caught him jumpin too much
Holy shit that was so close. I was gonna be triggered if marss lost
Damn I really wanted marss to lose
