Never seen a witch that felt legitimately frightening since Queen Bernadette. But Patina's Witch I couldn't just hear her "had it up to here" frustration, I could *feel* the menace. DAYAM. Also she (clearly) killed it vocally.
They really needed more time to get your fault put together. It's a very very difficult song to do. It seems it wasn't worked on enough. But, the actors still did the best they could do.
Shanice's Red being the one to actually say no to the Witch's face is a really cool choice. The kid's still got grit, even after everything she's been through, and I wonder if Patina's Witch is almost impressed with her.
I totally agree!! Especially since its right before the “you’re so nice” line, it feels like a moment between the 2 of them knowing the difference between good and nice 😭😭
Parker930 Your being really hype I was making sure I knew my stuff like the lyrics that he as saying. So how about you just mind your business and shut up.
aye but we gotta remember that this is a REALLY difficult number and they didnt have much time to put this together. im just happy they kept going despite that it sorrttttta was a train wreck.
Because It's a vital number in the show, and is pivotal to show how your production was. It's a reflection of the whole thing. You get "your fault" wrong, the rest of the second act falls flat.
I'm not gonna egg on Skylar for slipping up. I've seen professional broadway trained singers fail this song in more ways than one. It can be difficult, but he kept it going and did his best and I still think they all did an amazing job.
i can feel the orchestra conductor sweating, trying to keep time while his life flashes past his eyes all the way from here

At which song

3:15 those blames just kill me-Patina definitely owned and made this her own. She also saved the whole performance-period
Nah Bernadette still owned that song
Was I the only one notice that the baker mess up
That’s Sondheim for ya!
Oh, no ... I noticed it too. Poor guy. The terror he must have felt.

I’ve played the baker (on moms account) and wow almost every line he messed up
Poor skylar messed up
I know. He kept going though! Theatre kids can do it!
RIP Stephen Sondheim
Thank you for writing the greatest "Fuck You" song ever written.
Can we at least agree that Patina did that? !
The middle of Your Fault was an absolute disaster despite the talent! The voices are still very nice but yikes!

@@ElftheDog That's very true! Even with a month of prep, I still lost some words when I've done it!
This was also opening night, the next two shows they were spot on!
@@DustinReckling You mean they didn't already have this down pat going into rehearsals?
Saw it live! Wonderful performance!!
Woah Patina was amazing 👐
This...this was fast, I was there.
Patina Killed it
Yes Patina! Can’t wait for her doing Broadway
Omg I would kill to see more of this!
Jack and the Baker messed up oop
So did Cinderella for a sec
Where did jack mess up? I can’t find it
really i didn't hear cinderella messing up in this video -at most she emphasized some words/took some interpretive liberties but she was on beat
DaZi ohhh ok. Not as bad as the baker tho 😂
So adorable! Skylar Astin messed up. Then he holds his hand to his face. I would so do the same thing.
Patina 🔥👍🏻
Wow I love Patina Miller's voice ...!
God this song is just a clusterfuck 😂
no you
the spice king official channel ....What?
damn... that is really hard work! ... how is it that they can be so intense and passionate!
Practice. Practice. Practice.
Wow wow WOW Patina Miller!!! (To those who cluck about messing up -- Who cares? They only had a few weeks to rehearse.)

@@TimothyRobert93 I would happen to disagree because they brought it back and then Patina crushed it with “Last Midnight”

Does the Hollywood bowl perform a musical every year
Tamyres Deus Reis ooo that’s sounds like a fun summer
Oh gosh... You're Fault.... they messed up wording & the tempo got changed a lot... CRINGE😬
Everybody messed up but idc
Did someone had the full show?
1:01
Oh gosh Skylar
Why these are not filmed for posterity is so appalling. This is great, but so inadequate and frustrating
No one can beat the OG witch. Bernadette Peters.
@@erinwoah3696 exactly
And no matter what you say. You can’t deny that Patina murdered this song! Period!!
@@erinwoah3696 qualities
@@samarijohnson1595lol no. Plus this song is much slower than the orifinal
Can't with Gaten's wig. I just can't.
Oh crap the poor Baker
Why does this song have to be SOOOOO FASSST 😂😂
That's what makes it good. I've seen so many productions slow it down and it's not nearly as good or impressive.
That mess up at the start though...
Trust Sondheim, to make the music superfast, both music and lyrics. He's brilliant though
this was a hard watch
It’s the musical conductors fault.
well THIS was a hot mess. Yikes.
Yikes
ehhhh that was a mediocre scream...
Could you do better??? I am just gonna say that this was the first performance and you don’t want to hurt your voice all the time.
This is terrible
The televisions are cool how u can see it up close
Poor skylar messed up
