    @12:37 the youtube reviewer is biased because he compared both with different ambient light setup, you can pause and clearly see that the pro video was recorded with some ambient light which is evident from the side wall on which there is light when compared to ultra. The light faded the image. Too bad from the reviewer.

      I was wondering what was off; I thought it was cropped but no, that's his room light difference.
      Does the guy think people only look at one review for 1k+ purchases lol

    • @ForYou21022
      @ForYou21022 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      that is not the ambient light though, its the beamer projection itself. If you take a closer look, you will notice, that this is the beamer throwing light at the surface. The Horizon Pro doesnt have any optical lense, so what it does it just zooming in digital into the projection, to make it match the surface. The ultra on the other hand has the ability to optically zoom the entire projection onto the surface, so that you wont have any borders with grey/white lighting left over

    • @ForYou21022
      @ForYou21022 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      for reference look at the very bottom and top. You can clearly see, where the "brighter" light is cut, thats because this is just a projection and light coming from the beamer

    1. Does the Ultra support Blu-ray (active) 3D? Since glasses dim the picture a bit, more brightness would be great.
    2. What are the response times per "mode"?
    3. Does the auto focus AND keystone work in "game mode"?
    4. Can it be ceiling mounted?

  • @richice007

    Not sure why.. but the Horizon Pro looks better - more detail and better colours, pause at 12:35

    • @ChigzTech
      @ChigzTech  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The ultra actually has a wider color gamut for a more colour accuracy and this can be adjusted to suit from settings. Technically the Ultra is actually better, with brighter, more detailed, better colour accuracy etc.

      I own the Pro and prefer the ultra when looking at the lion image. That image is one of my complaints with the pro. Go two scenes later with the guy holding the gun. On the pro you can't even make out one of his eyes. On scenes like that or night scenes it becomes very difficult to see anything at times. The lion on the left looks closer to the image I would see on my LG OLED screen which has a fantastic picture.

    I dont know why your horizon pro's picture quality looks bad. Seems it was done on purpose just to emphasize how the picture quality of horizon ultra is better. I mean clearly, horizon ultra should have a better picture quality but my horizon pro's picture quality does not look as bad as yours, even in a well-lit environment. Also, horizon pro does have a lens cover. It is just made of glass so it looks like the lens has no cover. When it comes to size and weight, I still prefer the horizon pro. A projector weighing 5kg only means that it is not so portable. I also dont like the exterior color of horizon ultra. It looks retro, while horizon pro looks modern. Finally, I still think that horizon pro is a better option because it has a longer lamp life.

    • @dpacyau
      @dpacyau 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you have the original Horizon and you're looking to upgrade, the extra $400 for the Ultra is worth it IF you have Dolby Vision source material. I find the speakers in the Ultra noticeably better than the Horizon Pro. I also love the automatic lens cover. It automates my setup better so I don't have to worry about taking the cover off the projector and let eARC take care of powering on my devices. If these are not worth it, then I would get the Horizon Pro. I have both.
