Please Ikolo mmuo clear this confusion. Why do we put our Chi and Agwu in okpesi when they are both alive inside us? Many teach that it is an unreasonable practice of the age of UGA AZI and should be stopped. Please speak about this so we know whether to keep or discard our okpesi Chi and Okpesi Agwu. Thanks for all you do !!!!

We like what we can see, feel or touch as humans. That we carve Ikenga does not mean our Chi and other forces carved woods represent are in the carved woods. They are mere effigies.
For example if you see those carved images in the dream of a particular force you can quickly know what it represents.

Can you do without the carved woods? Yes. Just you can train your child without agreeing to name the child. The child becomes nameless. Before you decide to give a child or your pet name for easy identification then you can understand the thinking behind carved images.
