As a girl in London, if a guy dressed like a roadman comes up to me at a tube station at night and asks me if I want to die, I would be beyond terrified. Random stabbings happen. Often.
Honestly London is intense. Witnessed a Machete hit and run right infront of my eyes just next to canary wharf next to a busy road. A few weeks later in exactly the same place some random guy was stabbed for his phone. A Police Woman on the scene said the last few weeks were the worst time for crime she's ever seen since joining the force a decade back. Keep safe out there, always share your location when alone.

@@bigbalticbox Happens a lot of places, but yeah it's a funny mix of diversity here, I love it for it, but it does mean I'm hearing about another stabbing every while, drug addicts injecting themselves on doorsteps and surrounded by drug dealers, seeing people race around cars they've stolen etc. But on the flip side there's really nice neighbors, a lot of activities in the area, parks, nice canal routes, every transport route on my doorstep. I've luckily never had any trouble directed at me but you got to keep your awareness about you and stay wide-eyed. It's already improving a lot around Canary Wharf and surrounding areas, I can imagine in 10 years or so with the amount of redevelopments there will be a wider shift of the kind of community here. Crime will only get worse with the recession until life is better for everyone - hope we get a government that gets their act together soon.

The family would probably be scared now that some random person could be in their house. The old woman, if she even retrieved her dog, would probably never trust strangers to pet her dog. The young woman would probably never feel safe alone. The library would probably have increased security making it more difficult for people to visit. He’s the type to go to a homeless shelter and trash the place. Maybe throw what little food they have on the ground or rip any tents he sees. It’s fucked. Stealing someone’s dog is beyond f*cked. If you’ve ever had a pet run away, you’d be absolutely terrified that it could be lost forever, but you at least know that it’s somewhere near you. Watching someone steal one of your most loved things is absolutely horrible, especially knowing that they’re likely never going to be seen again. If he’s gonna continue with this sh*t, then I hope to god that he finds someone that’s not gonna deal with his sh*t and either teaches him a good lesson or ends this harassment, one way or another.
this type of thing happened when i was a little girl. was no older than 9 and, scared to so much as sleep when the gate to my house was found open, and my dog was missing. three day and two nights go by and i had come back around midnight with my family from a Christmas festival, my heels were off, and i had just stepped out of the car when i looked down the road to see a man walking with a dog, and when they got closer he let the leash go, and the dog sprinted towards me. only for me to realize it was my dog, and i took off running with my older brother behind me i slid on to my knees on concrete, and held my dog in my arms bawling my eyes out at the man who had been walking my dog was a neighbor. who saw a family from down the road with her calling her 'red' when is reality her name is rose. he explained that the mother broke the chain to my gate, and stole my dog. a day after that my mother started getting death threats and bribes for my dog. the same one i got for my ninth birthday, after complaining that my siblings would rarely interact with me. rose was my everything, and a woman saw that, and took her from me with the hope of getting money out of my mother for her. it was sick and twisted and ever since then I've kept my dog under watchful surveillance, and had her sleep in my room to ensure this never happened. nobody should ever have to go through that

As someone from the UK, the problem is, in the UK it is common for someone that behaves like Mizzy to have concealed weapons, like knives, whereas the average person doesn't carry any form of weapon on them, so there's the very real possibility that if someone did try to fight back against him they would get stabbed or ganged up on by his friends nearby. It's not a matter of whether Mizzy would go further than just a prank, it's the fact that his behaviour is that of someone who would. As for the justice system, completely agree, I don't know anyone in the UK that would see this type of shit and not want him jailed.

This reminds me of the time I was walking out of a grocery store with flowers for my mother in law and two young girls came up behind me. One had their phone out recording and the other one followed me to my car and right when I got to my door, she asked me if I wanted to fight. I was so confused and terrified. I got into my car and she grabbed the door handle and tried to open it and prevent me from locking the door. Idk if she would have done anything but both the girls were laughing like it was the funniest thing thing they had ever seen. I still don’t know to this day if she was actually trying to fight me or if she thought she was pulling some funny, silly “prank”. Either way though it had serious consequences for my mental health and I still struggle with PTSD to this day. These pranks are not funny if you are making people think their lives are in danger..

Update from the UK - He is actively being looked for by police as of 3 hours ago at the minimum. Unfortunately low level crimes or non-crimes have to reach a point of reports for the offender to be known and sanctioned, which he has been previously, for repeat offences to then become statutory crimes by default, which they now are. So yeah, big mans going to the courthouse finally.

I got "pranked" at a walmart the other day. I immediately knew it was a prank and that someone would be behind me filming. Sure enough, there he was hiding a camera. I called them out, they denied they were filming, and now I'm more afraid I gave them better footage by blowing it up. Also from the UK here and there was a case in 2019 of a 78 pensioner who had his house broken into by two armed robbers and got arrested on suspicion of murder after he stabbed one of the robbers. His arrest only got overturned after there was huge public outcry. The family and friends of the murdered robber would lay flowers and cards opposite the pensioners house, bare in mind this guy was a career criminal and he broke into a 78 year old pensioners house armed. We are complete push overs in the UK.

This almost happened to me once. A guy was climbing the stairs to our home and my mom caught him. He ran away as soon as she asked his name. We got a camera and better lock the next day. It's such a terrifying thing to experience. What an idiot!

I once almost walked into a complete strangers house, but it was completely by accident. In my defense my mom once lived on a street of fourplexes that all had the same exact exterior, but I opened the door looking down, saw some rando shoes and heard unfamiliar voices upstairs, looked up, saw the walls were white instead of orange, and promptly shut the door and walked to the next fourplex, that time looking at the number to make sure I had it right 😂
Same thing happened to me bro! I lived in an apartment complex on the third floor, with 3 other roommates. One day I was coming home, not paying attention, and only walked up to the second floor. The front door was left unlocked so I thought my roommates just hadnt locked it. Keep in mind, these apartments came furnished so every apartment has the same furniture. The only thing that was different, I heard a dog barking in one of the bedrooms, and a sign on my bedroom door. So I walked up to it, confused, but before I took it down I noticed the lock on the door was oriented differently. That was when I put the pieces together and bolted out of that house fast af
I also once walked into the wrong house coming home from school. We’d recently move just 2 DOORS down and this was like a month after and I was on auto pilot, made it a fair way inside to the point I saw the new tenets and instantly realised. Being a kid I wasn’t a threat so just apologised, quickly explained we’d just moved from there and left. Couldn’t imagine doing that as an adult going into a house I had zero business being in like the guy in this video
I had this same problem but with dorm rooms. After the first year we all had to choose dorms on another floor and mine ended up in the same exact spot but on the next floor. For over 2 weeks I kept accidentally walking up to my old room and even walked in a few times before realizing I wasn’t on the right floor.
Honestly it doesn't surprise me that the police have been so ignorant of what he's doing. In the UK we seem to have an epidemic of these so-called 'pranksters' that do these sort of stupid things for internet clout, and because of that it has become so widespread that even 11yr olds will do them, therefore the police are just careless. However I have never seen anyone stoop so low as to steal someone's dog. I hope he gets what's coming to him.

As someone who has previously had a dog, the idea of someone randomly randomly coming over and grabbing my dog and instantly run away strikes absolute terror into me. It's like actual kidnapping. Also just having a complete stranger come up to you and asking if you want to die... Just absolutely unhinged threats that will strike life threatening terror into people. This kid needs some genuine repercussions.
Just asking someone "If they want to die" is a crime if the person has any reason to believe they may be harmed. That question on its own is something he should be charged for, in addition to the other more obvious charges.

As a girl in London, if a guy dressed like a roadman comes up to me at a tube station at night and asks me if I want to die, I would be beyond terrified. Random stabbings happen. Often.
Honestly London is intense. Witnessed a Machete hit and run right infront of my eyes just next to canary wharf next to a busy road. A few weeks later in exactly the same place some random guy was stabbed for his phone. A Police Woman on the scene said the last few weeks were the worst time for crime she's ever seen since joining the force a decade back.

@@bigbalticbox Happens a lot of places, but yeah it's a funny mix of diversity here, I love it for it, but it does mean I'm hearing about another stabbing every while, drug addicts injecting themselves on doorsteps and surrounded by drug dealers, seeing people race around cars they've stolen etc.
But on the flip side there's really nice neighbors, a lot of activities in the area, parks, nice canal routes, every transport route on my doorstep. I've luckily never had any trouble directed at me but you got to keep your awareness about you and stay wide-eyed.
It's already improving a lot around Canary Wharf and surrounding areas, I can imagine in 10 years or so with the amount of redevelopments there will be a wider shift of the kind of community here.
Crime will only get worse with the recession until life is better for everyone - hope we get a government that gets their act together soon.

Stealing someone’s dog is beyond f*cked. If you’ve ever had a pet run away, you’d be absolutely terrified that it could be lost forever, but you at least know that it’s somewhere near you. Watching someone steal one of your most loved things is absolutely horrible, especially knowing that they’re likely never going to be seen again. this type of thing happened when i was a little girl. was no older than 9 and, scared to so much as sleep when the gate to my house was found open, and my dog was missing. three day and two nights go by and i had come back around midnight with my family from a Christmas festival, my heels were off, and i had just stepped out of the car when i looked down the road to see a man walking with a dog, and when they got closer he let the leash go, and the dog sprinted towards me. only for me to realize it was my dog, and i took off running with my older brother behind me i slid on to my knees on concrete, and held my dog in my arms bawling my eyes out at the man who had been walking my dog was a neighbor. who saw a family from down the road with her calling her 'red' when is reality her name is rose. he explained that the mother broke the chain to my gate, and stole my dog. a day after that my mother started getting death threats and bribes for my dog. the same one i got for my ninth birthday, after complaining that my siblings would rarely interact with me. rose was my everything, and a woman saw that, and took her from me with the hope of getting money out of my mother for her. it was sick and twisted and ever since then I've kept my dog under watchful surveillance, and had her sleep in my room to ensure this never happened. nobody should ever have to go through that

As someone from the UK, the problem is, in the UK it is common for someone that behaves like Mizzy to have concealed weapons, like knives, whereas the average person doesn't carry any form of weapon on them, so there's the very real possibility that if someone did try to fight back against him they would get stabbed or ganged up on by his friends nearby. It's not a matter of whether Mizzy would go further than just a prank, it's the fact that his behaviour is that of someone who would.
As for the justice system, completely agree, I don't know anyone in the UK that would see this type of shit and not want him jailed.

This reminds me of the time I was walking out of a grocery store with flowers for my mother in law and two young girls came up behind me. One had their phone out recording and the other one followed me to my car and right when I got to my door, she asked me if I wanted to fight. I was so confused and terrified. I got into my car and she grabbed the door handle and tried to open it and prevent me from locking the door. Idk if she would have done anything but both the girls were laughing like it was the funniest thing thing they had ever seen. I still don’t know to this day if she was actually trying to fight me or if she thought she was pulling some funny, silly “prank”. Either way though it had serious consequences for my mental health and I still struggle with PTSD to this day. These pranks are not funny if you are making people think their lives are in danger..

Update from the UK - He is actively being looked for by police as of 3 hours ago at the minimum. Unfortunately low level crimes or non-crimes have to reach a point of reports for the offender to be known and sanctioned, which he has been previously, for repeat offences to then become statutory crimes by default, which they now are. I got "pranked" at a walmart the other day. I immediately knew it was a prank and that someone would be behind me filming. Sure enough, there he was hiding a camera. I called them out, they denied they were filming, and now I'm more afraid I gave them better footage by blowing it up. I did not want to be on camera that day. and I sure as hell didn't want to be a prop or the butt of anyone's joke for monetization. I thought this all died in the 2010's.

The family and friends of the murdered robber would lay flowers and cards opposite the pensioners house, bare in mind this guy was a career criminal and he broke into a 78 year old pensioners house armed. The only thing that was different, I heard a dog barking in one of the bedrooms, and a sign on my bedroom door. So I walked up to it, confused, but before I took it down I noticed the lock on the door was oriented differently. That was when I put the pieces together and bolted out of that house fast af
I also once walked into the wrong house coming home from school. We’d recently move just 2 DOORS down and this was like a month after and I was on auto pilot, made it a fair way inside to the point I saw the new tenets and instantly realised. Being a kid I wasn’t a threat so just apologised, quickly explained we’d just moved from there and left. Couldn’t imagine doing that as an adult going into a house I had zero business being in like the guy in this video
I had this same problem but with dorm rooms. After the first year we all had to choose dorms on another floor and mine ended up in the same exact spot but on the next floor. For over 2 weeks I kept accidentally walking up to my old room and even walked in a few times before realizing I wasn’t on the right floor.

Honestly it doesn't surprise me that the police have been so ignorant of what he's doing. In the UK we seem to have an epidemic of these so-called 'pranksters' that do these sort of stupid things for internet clout, and because of that it has become so widespread that even 11yr olds will do them, therefore the police are just careless.
However I have never seen anyone stoop so low as to steal someone's dog. I hope he gets what's coming to him.
The reason he hasn't been arrested is because he's been wise enough to never make a spicu Twit, I hear those are pretty dangerous over there.
They need firearms, at the very least their government needs to stop violating their right to protect themselves.

Like I used to get into bar fights, and I had to learn the key things I could use in a defence if it ever came to court. The classics like “please I do not want to fight you, I repeat, I do not want to fight you” and the “please back away, I am feeling threatened”

As someone who has previously had a dog, the idea of someone randomly randomly coming over and grabbing my dog and instantly run away strikes absolute terror into me.
It's like actual kidnapping.
Also just having a complete stranger come up to you and asking if you want to die... Just absolutely unhinged threats that will strike life threatening terror into people. This kid needs some genuine repercussions.
I'm hoping I can find an update on that poor lady's dog, I really hope she didn't lose her baby forever because of that pos.

As somebody, this idea also strikes terror me into me (I have not had a dog).
Just asking someone "If they want to die" is a crime if the person has any reason to believe they may be harmed. That question on its own is something he should be charged for, in addition to the other more obvious charges.
That's not a prank. That's a home invasion.
