When you just show chords, I have no idea where or which to play, before 5:11 in your video. I understand completely now that. It makes so much sense. Breaking it down really made it easy for me. Thank you.😊👌

I’m new to your classes and I'm loving them. I played guitar for years, being self taught. I cannot play guitar any longer because I have Parkinson's disease and the weight of the guitar is too much for me. I hear you. Do you play in a jam group? Playing with others is fun and it is a great way to practice the singing and strumming. I host a beginners jam 2x a month for my patrons. Because it is on Zoom, no one gets to hear your mistakes!

That's a great song and one I regularly do when I am a performer. I do a lot of single downstrums with the verses. I'll be doing a house concert and posting it on TH-cam this month. I'll do Sweet Caroline at the end.
ohhh really hard to keep the beat and not get mixed up with the down ups but with practice.... I'm so used to the ordinary strum it's hard to change but with practice......
Take it little bit at a time. Repeat sections. Strumming a pattern and singing at the same time takes days, weeks even months of practice. Keep at it every day and you will be able to accomplish a pattern.
Good observation - it does take time, and consistent practice. Just do a little bit every day. Try humming first - the processing center for vocabulary is in a different part of the brain. I'm all good with the island strum until I start trying to sing at the same time! This may take awhile.

There really is a certain satisfaction when playing the slow (sorry deliberate) speed is just too slow! Must jump to the next speed.
I should go back to doing multiple speed play alongs.
