Looking forward to the video of the retaining wall coming down. 😂

In my opinion these bags should be offset by half a bag width for strength, like a course of bricks.

Retaining wall made with quik-crete bags -- Where's the rebar/mesh. This wall will crack and move without steel in it.

And without proper drainage built behind it…it’s just a matter of time!!!

      Indeed

It’s better not to rely on steel rebar or mesh. They will eventually corrode without proper regular maintenance.
Some of the world oldest structures have been still around while those of modern materials have to be demolished.

You can tell this is not happening in the USA!!
Walls made with bags of Crete that have moisture barrier plastic liners under the paper.
Yeah I think it will fail in a few years and completely fail in 15

Covering all around tree trunks is a sure tree killer and concrete mix without rebars won’tlast.

Concrete bags would be much better structurally than just cement.

Those aren't "cement bags" (4.40), they are quick setting ready-mixed concrete. If you try and build a wall out of cement bags it won't end well.

The cement bag wall has me questioning the stability. Does the paper dissolve eventually and what keeps the bags from shifting? Could I get an answer from the creator?

Today's materials are tomorrow's problems, ONE QUESTION >> do you want your house built out of brick, slate, and wood, OR polystyrene, recycled glass bottles and plastic.

Building a wall from cement or concrete bags is a really bad idea. The bag material creates large numbers of weak zones where the pieces of concrete can slide.

The iron rod used onthe brick facade wall is to keep the lines straight, AND the amount of mortar used is uniform. Alot of this crap is "TOFU DREG CONSTRUCTION" and WILL fall apart in time

And what is IN the cement bags? Are they using empty bag, they do have strong paper indeed. And filling them up with something?
Or is it cement in the bags that has been exposed, for whatever reason, to water and has become hard and useless otherwise?

    • @nirfz
      @nirfz 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

I think the idea is to use fresh bags and set them there, and when it's done, get rain and moisture or be sprayed with water to soak through the bags and harden whatever's inside the bags.
If it's just cement, it won't work. If it's premixed concrete that just needs moisture adding, it could at least be somewhat close to working. But it's missing the steel for it to be a trusty and reliable working wall. The few metal spikes visible won't do the trick.
