    I'm loving your analysis of Wolf's serve...very easy to see exactly what makes it such a weapon. Thanks. Blessings always!

    I'm a big jj wolf fan. His game is so fun. He had an incredible lefty forehand vs tsitsipas not to long ago that made the highlights

      In this match he had a few of them. Amazing!

      @@2MinuteTennis okay. Do you recommend doing that? My tennis coach (he coaches d1 tennis) said I should not try to emulate that, but it seems more natural to me as a righty to switch to my left hand forehand as a defensive measure when I am pushed off the court

      @@stevenjm12 Two handed backhands should be like a left handed forehand with extra support of the other hand, so if it is too far away to reach with both hands on the racket, you can try to do that, I usually just do a slice instead.

    Famous low toss? - Roscoe Tanner. It helps eliminate any "hitch" in the serve by requiring rapid upward arm motion with no pause merely to hit the ball at all. Also tossed ball speed approaches zero if you hit it at the top. It's easier to hit a motionless object.

    Fun fact: Karlovic has a low toss as well. Not necessarily a bad server… also, check out Otte. He looks as if he hits the ball directly out of his tossing hand. His serve was good enough to go toe to toe with Alcaraz in Wimbledon.

      Yes…oscar hits the ball right at the peak of the toss. Awesome. Thanks for watching!

    Right now I'm just focusing on bringing my elbow forward before hitting the ball. When I don't bring the elbow forward, I mess up my form and sometimes I hurt my wrist.

    Ah, the tennis serve. Just like brushing your teeth. However you're doing it, you're doing it wrong. Lol.

    I heard you quote Vic Braden which is great because Jj wolf has gotten a lot of his help on his serve from Andy fitzell who came from the same coaching tree as Vic Braden

  • @tmass1

    it's basically a slightly less refined kyrios serve

      @2MinuteTennis  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’d argue that JJ’s serve is better for rec players to copy. His technique is flawless.

      @@2MinuteTennis Yup! Love the Vic Braden reference. That "hug" is how you utilize the kinetic chain; stopping you body releases all the energy into your racket.

    I need advice on left handed player serving, mine is consistent and I rarely doubt fault but it lacks killer speed and ace material, no matter who I play they are able to return I’ve only gotten 2 aces playing singles and 4 in doubles
