- the skill of the tool maker, a visit to the Hillman factory at Ryton-on-Dunsmore showing the making of a bumper for the Minx.
The Hillman Minx was a mid-sized family car that British car maker Hillman produced from 1931 to 1970. There were many versions of the Minx over that period, as well as badge-engineered variants sold by Humber, Singer, and Sunbeam.
The old Sunbeam Rapier was quite a "Nifty" Motor Car, it had lovely shaped rear wings, thanks for showing

The difference in cost between metal bumpers and injection moulded bumpers must be 100 times!
My daily has steel bumpers, well mangled, occasionally I get the crow bar out , but not expensive or difficult to replace anyway, plastic well that another thing entirely
