    I was in Northern Ireland in September and visited all these places. Even if you are only a very little into GoT, these are places to go. You will remember them for a lifetime. 😊

    I petted a direwolf! We went to Castle Ward and met the trainer/owner of two of the wolf-German Shepard crosses. We then just happened to eat at a restaurant which was owned by his family and that’s where we got to see the wolves up close. Definitely a highlight of our tour! We also got to dress up and re-enact Robb’s coronation at the abbey.

      I saw the Direwolf's at Castle Ward, but we didn't pay to shoot the bows or pet the wolves. Very awesome!

    Brilliant! I was fortunate enough to stay away from all spoilers, all celebrity sightings, etc., and I was completely immersed in the series. Now that the drama is over, I look forward to learning everything about the behind-the-scenes makings of Game of Thrones. Belfast, here I come! Cheers,

    Really enjoyed your video, I'm from Northern Ireland and spent a lot of my childhood in these places. Guess I took them a bit for granted but the Antrim Coast really is beautiful. I write poetry and wrote a poem about this very place. Glad your family had a great time 😃

    The Dark Hedges on the Bregagh Road does still lead towards the estate house of Gracehill - the beech trees were planted originally by the homeowners (Stuart family) to impress visitors rolling up in their horse drawn carriages! Gracehill house is now part of a Golf Resort and former stables at the back are now the clubhouse and bar/restaurant. FWIW I learned to swim in Ballintoy Harbour!

    You can‘t drive along the Dark Hedges anymore as the cars were killing the trees, by parking on the roots. There is now a car park a couple of minutes walk away.

      @@Photasma it looked so chaotic in your video. I bet the drivers were frustrated and distracted in turn.

    Castle ward was only Winterfell for the first season.. Then they moved to Moneyglass estate where they filmed alot of stuff including the final white walker battle.. They built the winterfell and winter town there.. All have just been taken down..

    How far apart are all of these locations? We’re you able to hit multiple spots in 1 day?

    • @Photasma
      @Photasma  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are all located in Northern Ireland, fairly close, but not super close. We hit them all in about 2 days. They also recently opened the Game of Thrones Studio Tour with sets, props and costumes that you can now visit.
