HArden has brought his game up another notch this season.. His numbers are insane.. Scoring, defending, assisting.. The guy is averaging 26.6 ppg .. 6.7 assist per game ... 6.4 rebounds per game ... 2.4 steals per game .. 1.2 blocks a game ... 23 games into the season, he has 5 double doubles and a triple double, he has NINE 30+ point games and one 44 point game (season high).. Dwight Howard, Terrence Jones, Patrick Beverley were out 11 games and Harden carried the Rockets to an 8-3 record beating teams such as the Mavericks, Grizzlies, Bucks (who were 10-6 at the time, 5th seed in the East), Kings (who were 9-5 at the time without Cousins out because viral Meningitis).. Beverley came back but without Howard and Jones we beat the Suns (another playoff team in the bottom western conference.. Hate on Harden all you want the guy is a BEAST and knows how to score and who cares if he gets fouled a lot, Durant and Kobe do too but you aint hating on them..
I was in Houston a couple of weeks ago. Went to their game against the Sixers. Harden comes out to shoot before the game. Takes about 30 3pointers. Makes each and every one of them. Never even touched the rim. He's got the most relaxed and effortless stroke in the league.

James Harden has a devastating euro-step, crossover, and step back jumper, and he could easily be #1 SG in the league, but he just needs to work on his on-ball defense. He's also a pick and roll maestro.
he hasnt perfected the pick and roll just yet... part of the reason why he turned the ball over so much last season pick and roll maestros are like Rondo, Paul, Nash, Rose, and Lance Stevenson they rarely turn the ball over when orchestrating the pick and roll. but i do think he'll master it sometime soon
his game reminds me of paul pierce. good player not overly explosive but strong body + control plus sweet shooting. Pierce can hit 3s and mid range but Hardens is mostly 3's and drives and occasional mid range
i know his defense is bad at best, but if there is one way you can make up for bad defense, it is with great offense which he has. If the rockets bring in a defensive minded coach to help Harden defend consistently, he is going to be a force to be reckoned with for the next 5-6 years.

Wow. The biggest flopper I've ever seen. Every time he drives down the lame he throws his head up and that one play against afflalo, he literally jumps up and flails his legs. This guy should be fined. All he does is push off and I'm pretty sure he travels sometimes even though I don't really know the traveling specifics. All in all hes 3rd best shooting guard. I'd still take wade and Kobe over him
You've got some fair points. As a Houston fan, I've been frustrated by the fact that Harden is more than capable of finishing a lot of the plays he flops on, but he would rather flop. Wade and Kobe in their prime are better than Harden, but at this age Harden can carry a team while Wade has played poorly and Kobe can't stay on the court.
