If there's one thing I'll give this game credit for, it's that it looks like the picture no longer fades once you finish the Johnny be Good segment because at that point Marty secured his future. Of course I could be wrong.
I remember some people complained about the frames in excess in that TAs of this game. I know that one was for the highest score possible, but this one is finally faster :D
This game is actually kinda fun and that's not nostalgia talking because I didn't grow up with it. It has an addicting element to it and the mini games are enjoyable. Kinda reminds me of a mobile game.
When I was a kid playing this, I so desperately wanted this game to make canonical sense that I convinced myself that the bullies and hula hoop girls were flinging pieces of manure (you know, like in that one scene in the movie where the car crashes into a manure truck). Other awful things about the game you wouldn't be able to tell from watching this TAS: You can jump the fences! Too bad Marty is deathly allergic to grass or something, because he dies upon landing. Those dudes walking back and forth a suspiciously set distance apart from each other? Yep, there's a pane of glass being carried between them. Another insta-death if you crash through it.
I remember reading or hearing somewhere that the repetitive music was supposed to be a rendition of a portion of the hit song from the movie _The Power of Love_ by Huey Lewis and the News, and playing it at 50% almost... no, wait... still terrible chiptune music.
i have no idea how we were able to pass the whole first stage without any of these tricks your doing...somehow as a kid id beat all the skating part and get to that shake fight and occasionally get past that but with no tricks or even that skateboard half the time

My favorite part of the movie was when Marty was behind the desk catching hearts with a book. Truly iconic
pretty sure it's meant to be a shield, still the weirdest and most literal example of marty rejecting his mom's advances though

My older brother used to play this game a lot back in the day. No one else in the family could beat it. This TAS was amusing and satisfying to watch.

Setting the speed to 50% makes the music sound closer to their actual sources. They're not good, mind, but definitely sound more normal.
