Changed brake disc and pads (with sensor) all around, filled up fluid, checked all the harness and the light would still be on. Not any more. Just for information my skoda had software coding 23124, the brake pad warning light is usualy 01, so by writing 22124 i disabled the light :)
I would like to code the 03 break electronics abs and I don't know exactly which one to use, I'm new to vcds lite, I'm going to use it, could you explain a little how I should do it, I have 1 volkswagen passat b5.5 1.8 turbo petrol 20v sedan petrol, vcds lite is compatible with my car, thank you
I think he misunderstood how the bitmask works. He changed the activated warnings from "brake pads only" to "seat belt warnings only" instead of disabling the brake pad warning. If your car supports the other warnings such as seatbelts and washer fluid, you should keep those enabled even if you intentionally disable brake pad wear warning (e.g. to use aftermarket brake pads that do not have the required connection).

Decided to make a quick vid showing what i had done aa i owned the VW back then and wanted to make some video for my channel. I mainly make them for myself if i ever need to refer back to something but its nice to get some views too.
@@techclub8528 If the coding helper says +01 to code something , you write -01 of the value written to remove coding. Same for other values (+02 /-02). Lets say you have value 07 and want to remove brake pad warning that is +02 you write 05 as new value.

He should have minused -01 from its current coding.

does it work on a4 b5 ? (heard doesn't work after 2000's series...)
I just tried it and the brake light option wasn't there, I'll reinstall vds to make sure,but it looks like it's not available.
