I can easily see this being used for Swedish death metal, such a versatile pedal, I’m gonna have to pick one up. (Hopefully TH-cam doesn’t delete my comment like they’ve been doing for the past 2 months)

If you have a ds1, a fuzz, and a chorus pedal, you can dial in tones very close to Nirvana. This pedal does have some cool sounds, though, and seems versatile.
I agree. I have a ds-1 and small clone and that's basically the tone. This Bleach pedal sounds good for the first album, as indicated it name. For all the rest I prefer the other two pedals, more accurate

So...I just ordered the pedal! (With a good discount on the official website) It is magnificent and sounds in the "Bleach" style. I already have all of Kurt's pedals (Polychorus; DS1; DS2; Sansamp etc) but it is certainly useful for certain songs!

I’d also like to know if you got the original polychorus or the reissue? The reissues are $400-500 and the original is over double. Echoflanger? Forget about it.

It's like a Sansamp plus chorus. If you have both you don't need this. If you don't...this is a great option. I personally would remove all the branding and label so it's not obvious this is a nirvana pedal.
You mentioned the chorus side has speed and gain knob. Is the gain knob not part of the distortion circuit?

it sounds good. if i didn't have my boss distortions and neo clone cheaper smaller small clone close enough pedal, this would be an interesting option for both in one, with some other stuff in between.

Interesting how it’s called a Bleach pedal, but also has a Small Clone Chorus effect, and it’s more accurate than other types. Cuz for the Bleach era, I think a Distortion pedal’s only used, but good bonus!

Thiiiink I might've found a bit muff alternative for myself! I love those goofy experimental chorus sounds and I love how thick the distortion is. Will absolutely be a pedal I'll purchase some day.

Does the chorus get crazy enough to do the intro to radio friendly unit shifter I finally broke down and bought a ehx poly chorus reissue and it's even still a little off.

Do you think the electro harmonix tone tattoo could serve a similar purpose? Especially combing all three pedal, For RFUS I would recommend blend at 0 and delay gain and feedback on the memory toy to whatever you feel best and adjust the small clone and then maxing everything out on the metal muff side

Its almost has it . Close enough anyway. I would buy it if i didnt have the original pedals. Its just a preference but i love the original. Bleach pedal rocks it sounds badass
i feel like this is not only a really good pedal for grunge but it might also have some use in shoegaze :D

Wooo! Just wondering, have you seen the “Swim Team” effects pedal? It’s a pedal to simulate the sounds of his Chorus and Flanger pedal but put into a pedal like this one.
(Second optional question: did you do voices at Mo-Pop? I was at Mo-Pop a few days ago with a friend and we were in one of the Jam rooms that apparently was a recording room. There was a narrator who sounded A LOT like you but just pitched down. Like whenever you put in a voice to pretend to be Krist or Dave or someone, just wondering!)

If you have a danelectro flange pedal, a boss ds2, a od muff by ehx and a small clone ehx... I'm sure you can get the majority of the Nirvana tones even "rfus" I wish EHX WOULD REISSUE THE ECHOFLANGER!!!

Literal Bleach Tone, is a Boss DS-1 pedal. One of the cheapest and easiest to find pedals around. YOU KNOW THAT!!!!!

Why does your jaguar have 3 strap button's
The nirvana pedal that sounds nothing like Nirvana. Has a random fuzz circuit instead of the DS1 & a chorus that is totally different than the Poly. Does it even get up to Radio Friendly speed?
It’s has the same circuits but with more add ons like more gain more voltage. chorus speed and resonance

@@HiAxl depending on how you set it the ds1 is very fuzzy pedal in that case with the drive dimed on our part it’s even fuzzier
@@JPTRFX I know what a DS-1 sounds like. I have used them and other versions of them for over a decade. I couldn’t be more familiar with a distortion. They do not sound fuzzy.

The Distortion side sounds more like Turbo Distortion/DS-2 than anything else. I don't really hear Muff tones in there. Maybe a modern, stock NYC Muff with the tone pot past 2 o'clock.
The Chorus is good, a little thinner than an OG big box Small Clone
